#I've had the cutest interaction today#So like yesterday? There was this post I saw on my dash that was like “you want to know extra info about museums? Just befriend a–#guide! That way you can also unlock the Secret Backscene” and I was like. Lmao. Who could ever befriend a museum guide I've never–#even personally met anyone who works at museums?#... Well. Guess what happened today#I was following this guided museum tour with a friend and when the tour came to an end I was happily chatting with her when the guide.#Shyly chimed in and was like “is that an Atsushi keychain?” And I was like !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!#And I was like‚‚ omg‚‚‚ Do you happen to know‚‚‚ This one series‚‚‚‚‚‚#And they unsheathed their phone like a fbi distinctive in American movies to show me their fyo/zai background amjdsgawsjda it was SO cute.#They were adorable. And I got so embarassed but trying to keep my cool while internally I was like‚‚‚#Omg the Cool Museum Guide™ is talking with me about my hyperfixation‚‚‚‚‚‚ What is happening#We talked a bit about the manga it was such a nice and sweet exchange. They said they like Dostoyevsky and I was like yeah he's so cool!!!#They said they're sorry about Bram it was REALLY cute (´;ω;`)#I didn't want to hamper them too much so I took my leave shortly after but I'd actually really like to pay visit again–#when the new chapter is out??#Hhhhhhh I don't want to look stalkery and like go look for them on their job. But also like‚ they looked genuinely happy and as excited as–#I was when we were chatting and I believe in the power of human connections through shared hyperfixations#The possibly funnier part is that then my friend went “Wait you're into b/ungo stray dogs??” and like alright. This is less surprising.#I already knew she likes manga.#What actually left me quite baffled was that... She really didn't know I was into b/sd. When it's literally what I think about 24/7#Something very similar happened just a week ago. My friend gifted me a manga volume of a series she really likes for my birthday#But when she was giving it to me she awkwardly went “oh‚ just‚ it features romance between two guys. I hope that's okay with you...”#And I internally had to pause and realize that no.#In fact most of the people I hang out with don't know I spend half my time curating a bl focused blog.#It's just funny in a way? I got so used to concealing my hyperfixations I didn't even realize I actually got quite good at passing–#for someone who is normal about stuff.#random rambles

1-800-got-stress | jeon wonwoo
pairing: jeon wonwoo x reader
warnings: non-idol au, college/professor au, slight romance (?), english professor wonwoo x teacher's assistant reader, tiny sprinkles of humor, one-sided crush (?), wonwoo is very dense when it comes to reader's romantic feelings (not really though), reader still loves him anyways, cute ending??
now playing: return of the mack, mack morrison
dedicated to: @k1eev (<3)
"After the lecture, I want you all to come see my assistant before you leave. She has the next module printed out and organized for you all." Wonwoo's deep voice is the next thing you hear once you snap back into reality, and many of the college student's eyes dart away from you as you look around, more than likely aware of how long you've been gaping at the English professor.
Jeon Wonwoo was the person always on your mind now—ever since you started as his teacher's assistant earlier this month, you've always been thinking about him.
He was everything you weren't—calm, professional, disciplined and put-together. He knew what to say and how to say it, and what to do and how to do it—you were ninety-nine percent convinced that there was nothing Wonwoo couldn't do.
Not only was he annoyingly perfect at his job, but he was annoyingly handsome too—he was handsome to a massive amount of people, students and other professors included. He had sharp eyes that seemed to grow even sharper with the perfect amount of tiredness, and hard-edged features that you had memorized now with how much you had stared at him when he worked.
Time went slow as Wonwoo talked, deep voice echoing through the lecture hall as he gave his presentation on the deeper story of Romeo and Juliet, asking his class questions as he gaged their attention span.
You thought about how nervous you would feel under Wonwoo's gaze. Your face just heated up at it, imagining how you wouldn't be able to look him in the face without feeling completely inadequate.
It was already hard for you to look him in the face, and you were his personal assistant.
"Please finish the last essay I assigned at the beginning of the month. Since we're starting a new module this Friday, I want everyone to be on the same page." Wonwoo's voice was monotonous as students started to pack their things, and you placed the stack of module papers on the desk, letting the students grab and go.
The class filtered out slowly, some staying behind to ask Wonwoo questions and garner advice from him. You watched them quietly, straightening the closet as you dipped in and out of their conversations.
You had just heard another professor enter the room, asking Wonwoo to go out with her tonight for a drink, (to which he politely refused), when Wonwoo had addressed you.
"Are you doing alright? You've looked really tired today." Wonwoo's thick, stern eyebrows are flat as he stares at you blankly, and you try to read his sharp eyes for any flicker of emotion for a quick second, giving up as you give him an awkward smile.
"Oh, I'm fine, Mr. Jeon. I'm not even tired—just a bit distracted, that's all." You reassure him, and Wonwoo nods, looking down at his watch as you finish straightening up your desk.
"You should get some rest. It's not good for you to be tired and trying to assist me, is it?" Wonwoo has a faint smile on his lips when he says this, and you try not to blush or melt under his hot gaze against your skin, fiddling with your collar awkwardly as you nod.
"Here, let me help you with those." Wonwoo's voice is directed to the stack of heavy books teetering on the end of your desk. You nod to him gratefully, allowing him to pick them up as you walk to the other side of the room, unlocking the storage closet door.
He held the books without strain, face still as he waited for you to finish putting your share of books down. Wonwoo followed you, cologne wafting in the air and drifting under your nose as he turned off the lights.
"Thank you for today. You did very well." Wonwoo's voice was sweet as he smiled at you, and you returned the gesture stiffly, making your way back to the desk as you grabbed your things.
"Of course, Mr. Jeon. You did well too, I mean—you did well with the lectures and everything. You teach everything in such a fresh way, it's tough for anyone to not be compelled or interested in what you're teaching." You were a sucker for Jeon Wonwoo, and it was starting to show more and more now—how were you supposed to be normal about him?
"It takes a lot to make the lecture engaging and informative, so I'm glad you think that of me. Many students call me the boring teacher." Wonwoo's voice is lighthearted as he finishes straightening up his desk, and you chuckle, mostly at the absurdity of his words.
"You're quite the opposite of a boring teacher, in my opinion. Your stories and explanations are way more animated than the textbooks could be." Were you showering your superior-turned-crush with embellished compliments? Yes. Did you want him to notice?
...Not really.
"You sure do have a lot to think about me, don't you?" Wonwoo's voice is still playful, even if it has a neutralness to it. You blush slightly at his words, earning a smile from Wonwoo as he smiles. "I'm just teasing you. I appreciate everything you say to me."
A slight pink tint to Wonwoo's cheeks brings an even brighter one to yours, and the two of you fall silent, obviously sensing something between you. Wonwoo's eyes rake over your form, and you shyly look up at him, dark brown eyes behind his frame still making you warm inside as you sigh (dreamily and deliriously, as you might add).
You had made Wonwoo—Professor Jeon Wonwoo, the boring, scarily neutral English professor—blush from your compliments. You would be wallowing in your achievement if you weren't also blushing at the moment.
"Well, I, uh—" You stumble over your words, also stumbling over your book as you pick it up from the floor. Wonwoo watches you quietly, glasses sliding down his strong nose bridge slightly as he watches you head towards the door. "I should get going. It's getting late, and I have to be back here early tomorrow."
"I'll walk you to your car." Wonwoo nods, following suit as he slips his jacket over his broad shoulders and picks up his briefcase. His dress shoes hit the wooden floor as he follows after you, and he turns out the light, leaving you two engulfed in darkness for a few seconds as you stumble back, stepping on Wonwoo's foot.
He grunts harshly under you, and you scramble back, lights in the hallway illuminating your embarrassed blush. "Oh my god, I'm so sorry."
Wonwoo just smiles again, smile lines sending butterflies that go straight to your stomach. "No worries. You couldn't see because of me, and I'm sorry." His cologne is so strong and so him you can't think straight, but you do your best to string your words together.
"Well, Mr. Jeon, I'll see you tomorrow," The two of you had just left the building, now by your car as you unlock the door. Wonwoo watches you with sharp eyes, clearing his throat as you turn to him.
"If—If you'd like, we should converse over dinner sometime. Not as coworkers, but as good friends." Wonwoo's sentence brought a rude awakening to your world, and you stood in shocked silence for a second, processing what he said to you as you blinked blankly.
Wonwoo considered you to be a good friend—you would have never told by how unfazed he was by most things, but he considered you to be more than a coworker or partner. He saw you as a friend. A good friend who was asking you to dinner.
"Yeah, we—we should, Mr. Jeon." You agree, and Wonwoo clears his throat, sharp eyes daring away as he adds, "Oh, and you can call me Wonwoo. We're comfortable with each other now, so we can drop the formalities."
Not only were you Wonwoo's good friend, but you were such a good friend you could now call Mr. Jeon by his real name, Wonwoo. Too many green flags were going off in your head, but could Wonwoo sense he was giving you all these green flags? It only made your crush on him worse.
"Well, I'll get going, Wonwoo." Even his name on your lips felt sweet, and Wonwoo nodded, giving you a small wave as he closed your car door.
"Until tomorrow." He smiles softly again, and you melt into your seat, smiling as you nod back. "Until tomorrow."

happy new year, everyone!! i still have 28 minutes until midnight, and i thought of this idea! it's a short one, but it's quite cute, i think 🥹
feedback is greatly appreciated 🥰
~
You didn't know when it went wrong. You sip your champagne while eyeing the man you came here with. The tightness in your chest becomes more evident as he flirts with the shorter woman in front of him.
“Y/N?” Minho calls your name, barely hearing it over the music. His hand comes in contact with your lower back before you glance at him. “Everything okay?”
A sad laugh leaves your lips, and you shake your head in answer. You drink some more, almost gulping it down. “My date left me for someone else,” you tell him while leaning towards him, making sure he can hear you.
“Are you fucking serious?” Your best friend seethes, his eyes looking for him in the crowd. You nod your head, glancing towards the clock to see that there's only ten minutes left until midnight.
“Yeah, it's okay. He was kinda getting on my nerves anyway,” you try to reassure Minho after noticing his facial features grow angrier by the second.
His gaze meets yours again, and his dark eyes instantly soften. “Y/N, it's not okay! He came here with you,” Minho mentions, draping an arm around your shoulders.
Your free hand slides across his back as you wrap your arm around his waist. Minho accepts your silence on the topic, and his eyes go back to the man across the room.
Felix and Chan join the two of you, smiles on their lips as they greet you. You give both of them a quick hug before reattaching yourself to Min.
“I thought you came here with someone,” Chan says with furrowed brows, his finger wiggling between you and Minho.
Minho makes a grunting noise as he glances at your date. Him and the woman he's flirting with are centimeters from kissing, and Minho can feel his skin burn with anger.
“Ah, yeah, I did,” you chuckle awkwardly, staring into the wine glass. Your free hand gently rubs your friend's back, trying to get him to calm down again. “But, apparently, there are better options than me here.”
Felix and Chan follow Minho's line of sight, recognizing the guy you told them that you're bringing. “Oh, fuck him,” Felix mutters, albeit all three of you heard him.
“That's really shitty of him,” Chan comments, his gaze moving to his younger member.
Minho can feel Chan's eyes on him. “Stop staring,” he tells his hyung, crossing his arms over his chest.
You finish your drink, staring into the empty glass for a couple of seconds. “I'll be right back,” you tell the three of them. “Min, do you want a drink for midnight?”
He nods his head, and you squeeze his arm before heading towards the kitchen. A smirk begins to form on Chan's lips, nudging the brunette.
“So, you gonna tell her?” He asks, wiggling his brows.
Minho rolls his eyes. “Tell her what?” He questions, squinting his eyes.
“That you like her,” Chan answers, resting his hand on Minho's shoulder. “Now's your opportunity. This can be a great start to the new year!”
“And if she doesn't feel the same way? It would then turn into the worst start to the new year,” Minho exclaims.
You return to Minho's side before Chan can say anything else. “Here you go,” you smile at Min, holding out the glass.
“Thank you,” he smiles at you, taking a quick sip.
You look back at the clock again just as people begin to start counting down. Chan drags Felix away from the two of you, giving Minho a look before they disappear in the crowd.
“I'm a little glad I'm spending the start of the year with you,” you tell Min, scooting closer to him.
He smiles at you and drapes an arm across your shoulders again, tugging you into his side. “Me too. That guy doesn't know what he's missing,” he explains, stroking his thumb along your shoulder.
You giggle and hold up your glass. 5. 4. 3. 2. 1. “Happy New Year!” People around you start getting, clunking their glasses with each other. Minho leans forward and presses a gentle kiss on your lips.
Your breath hitches in your throat, your heart pounding in your chest. Minho's hand moves to the back of your neck, gripping it lightly as your lips move against his.
He pulls away slowly, clinking his glass with yours. “Happy New Year, Y/N,” Minho whispers.
A grin comes to your lips as you bring a hand to his chest. “Happy New Year, Min,” you whisper back, placing a chaste kiss on his lips.

The Deal
Marsha's heart thundered as she took in the sight of her former best friend, Tom, sitting across from her in the crowded campus coffee shop. It had been weeks since they'd last spoken, and the air between them was thick with tension. Marsha took a deep breath, summoning the courage to confront him about why he'd stopped talking to her. She couldn't shake the feeling that there was more to it than just the usual drama that seemed to plague every friendship at that age. There had to be a reason why Tom had suddenly gone cold, why he'd stopped returning her calls and texts. As she watched him sip his coffee, she wondered if he would ever tell her the truth.
Marsha couldn't help but remember the days when she and Tom were inseparable. They'd been outcast nerds in high school, bonding over their shared love of sci-fi novels and video games. Tom had always been the energetic one, while she'd been content to sit in the background, watching him shine. Even when they'd both started attending college, they'd managed to see each other at least weekly. But then, out of nowhere, it all seemed to change. One day, he simply stopped responding to her messages, and she was left feeling hurt and confused.
As she stared at him across the table now, she couldn't help but notice that he looked a bit different. He still was wearing glasses but his style had changed and so did his body. Marsha almost gasped as she saw that his arms were as thick and full of muscle. Tom’s face had familiar features but his jawline was more pronounced. Marsha felt her heart beat faster as she noticed his perfect smile as he noticed her approach.
"Hey, Marsha," he said softly, his voice deeper now. "What's up? Haven't seen you around in a while." Marsha’s face became red with anger. “Tom… I literally texted you every day!” she exclaimed. Tom looked away, his Adam's apple bobbing as he swallowed nervously. "Look, I'm sorry," he finally said. "Things have been... complicated."
Marsha raised an eyebrow, not buying his excuse. "Complicated? Tom, you haven't even told me what happened! We were best friends, remember? Why did you just stop talking to me?" Tom sighed, running a hand through his dark hair. "I guess... I met someone."
“No…I deserve better than that… plus it’s been like two months. How did you meet someone and change so much?”
Tom looked away again, his face flushing slightly. "It's complicated," he repeated. "I joined a gym, and it’s like I went through a second puberty. It’s like my body always wanted to be like this.” He flexed his arm and smiled. “Let’s just say it wasn’t hard to find a girlfriend after that.”
Marsha felt a pang of hurt deep in her chest as she looked at him. He did look good, she had to admit. But it wasn't fair for him to just drop her like a bad habit. "So, what?" she said, trying to keep her voice steady. "You're just going to lie to me like I’m stupid? Why aren’t you telling me the truth?”
Marsha knew Tom too well and knew there was something he was keeping from her.
“Tom who is this?” A woman asked as she sat next to Tom.
"Oh, hey babe," Tom said, giving her a quick kiss on the cheek. "This is Marsha, my math tutor ." She glared at him. "We were just talking about an upcoming math test," he explained, trying to sound casual. "Marsha was just wondering why I haven't been returning her calls and stuff."
"Oh, hi," the woman said, smiling awkwardly at Marsha. "I'm Amy.I can take the blame for that. I have been keeping him very busy lately." She placed her arm under Tom’s and leaned against him. Amy was gorgeous. She had long, wavy blonde hair that fell over her shoulders and deep blue eyes. She was curvy in all the right places, and she had a confident air about her that made Marsha feel self-conscious.
Marsha’s lip quivered as she wanted to expose Tom’s lie but he looked at her with an expression that she knew well. He was begging her to keep quiet. Amy seemed to be oblivious to it as she continued to talk. “You know how big dumb jocks are. Neglecting their studies so they can please their girlfriends…all night long.” Tom spit out some coffee as he blushed. Amy smiled and put her hand in his lap.
“Babe c’mon we’re in public." Tom’s eyes fluttered as Amy massaged his thigh. Amy cupped her other hand and whispered something into Tom’s ear. Tom squirmed in his chair as Amy spoke again. “Well I gotta go but it was nice meeting you Martha.”
“Marsha” Tom and Marsha said in unison. “ Right, Mar-sha, Byeee.” Amy got up sauntered away and looked back at Tom hoping he was watching her leave. She smiled and blew him a kiss when she saw that he was. Tom turned back to Marsha. “Look I have to go that booty calls.” Marsha scowled in disgust.
“Tom! I deserve better than this! You just lied to me and now to your so called “girlfriend”… actually you’ve been lying to her for a while right? Big dumb jock? You were top of our class!” Marsha exclaimed, anger filling her voice. Tom looked around as people were now looking at their table. He leaned in and whispered, "Look, I'm sorry. It's complicated. Can we just not make a scene?" Marsha took a deep breath and forced a smile. "Fine. But I want answers. You owe me that much."
“Fine meet me at my dorm room tonight. I’ll explain everything… I promise. Now… I…have to take care of this.” Tom got up from his seat as Marsha gasped. Tom’s bulge in his pants was extremely noticeable as Marsha realized more than just his muscles had grown. Marsha’s face turned red as she couldn’t keep her eyes off it as he slowly walked outside. Marsha watched him embrace Amy outside as they walked with purpose.
That evening, Marsha made her way to Tom's dorm room, her heart pounding with a mixture of anger, confusion, and fear. The door was ajar, and she could hear muffled laughter coming from within. She took a deep breath and pushed it open, steeling herself for whatever might be waiting on the other side.
The room was lit by soft lamplight, casting an intimate glow over the two figures on the bed. Tom and Amy were curled up together, their bodies entwined as they kissed passionately. Marsha finally grunted to get their attention. Amy quickly covered herself under the covers. “Ick, get out! Don’t people know how to knock in this building? Tom why do you keep forgetting to lock the door?” Marsha walked out as Amy covered herself with Tom’s bedsheet. Marsha stood in the hall and listened to Amy yell at Tom.
“She’s a weirdo Tom. What tutor just walks into a room without knocking first? I don’t care if you’re overdue for a session. She clearly has a crush on you. Jealous? Of that mousy geek? You know what Tom? Have fun doing equations and shit.” Amy opened the door fully dressed. “He’s all yours Mar-SHA” Amy gave an annoyed look and rushed past Marsha in a huff. Tom was wearing shorts sitting on his bed. The smell of sex and sweat were present even with the window open.
“You couldn’t knock?” Tom looked up at Marsha. She took a seat and faced him, “You couldn’t close the door and lock it while you fucked her?” She quipped back. Tom shrugged, he leaned back placing both hands on his head. He let out a long sigh, rubbing the back of his neck.
“C..Can you put a shirt on?” Marsha almost blushed as she found herself unable to stop looking at his bare chest. “You like what you see? So much better than that skinny chest you remember.” Marsha stayed quiet for a moment not wanting to admit her lust for her friend’s new developments.
“Don’t try to distract me from what I want to know Tom. Why did you ghost me? How did you change in just 2 months? Why did you lie to Amy?” Tom took a deep breath, looking her straight in the eye, and finally answered, "I didn't mean to ghost you, but I was offered a deal... a chance to change everything. To become the best of the best. And it came with a price."
"What price?" Marsha demanded, her curiosity piqued despite herself. Tom hesitated, glancing around to make sure they were alone. When he spoke, his voice was low and urgent. "I made a deal with a succubus . She offered me this body, this strength... everything I ever wanted in exchange for something I can’t tell you."
He paused, letting the weight of his words hang in the air. "Look, I know it sounds crazy, but I had to do something. I was nothing, just a nobody. And now look at me. I'm popular, I'm dating Amy... I'm happy."
Marsha could almost feel tears welling up in her eyes. "But what about me, Tom? What about our friendship? Did you just forget about me?"
Tom reached out and took her hand, squeezing it gently. "No, I didn't forget. I just... I didn't know how to tell you. I didn't want you to think I was some freak. I was scared." He hesitated again before continuing. "Look, I want you to know that I'm still the same person inside. I still care about you, and I want to be your friend. But... there are things I can't change now. This is who I am, and I have to live with it."
Her heart ached at his words, but she couldn't deny the truth in them. She squeezed his hand back, trying to reassure him that everything would be okay. "I understand, Tom. I'm just... I'm just surprised, that's all. It's a lot to take in."
They sat there in silence for a moment, each lost in their own thoughts. Then, suddenly, Tom stood up and pulled her to her feet. He leaned down, his face inches from hers, and kissed her gently on the lips. It was chaste, and sweet, and filled with the same friendship and affection they'd always shared. When he pulled back, they were both blushing.
“Ungh no! Not now.” Tom exclaimed as Marsha felt a poke in her pelvis. She stepped back in shock.
“I’m so sorry … it’s a side effect of this new body. It has a mind of its own.”
Marsha felt a surge of confidence. “Or maybe it knows what you want.” She shot him a playful smirk. She instantly put her hand in his shorts as Tom groaned. “Whoa… Marsh..” Tom tried to pull away but Marsha quickly gripped his member. “Shhhh , it all makes sense now. The ghosting, the bimbo girlfriend, the open door.” She increased her speed after lowering his shorts.
“Ungh, fuck ! Yes it was fun making you jealous.” Tom gasped as Marsha continued to stroke him, her hand moving up and down his length. Her touch was hot and wet, and it felt so good. He arched his back, pressing his hips forward, wanting more of her. He reached down and cupped her breast through her shirt, feeling the softness of her skin and the hardness of her nipple.
“If Amy could see you now… she would be the jealous one… what did she call me? A mousy geek?” She sneered as she continued to stroke him, her other hand reaching down to play with his balls. Tom couldn't help but moan, the pleasure building inside him.
“Marsha… where did you unnnh… so good.” Tom groaned, his hips bucking against her hand. His body felt like it was on fire, and he was so close to cumming. He wanted to give her what she wanted, to make her feel the same pleasure she was giving him. Tom also couldn’t explain why Marsha’s touch felt even better than anything he had ever felt.
“You did this for me didn’t you? Made a deal with a succubus for a sexy body, for this amazing cock? Mmm look at that precum…. Makes my mouth water.” She leaned down and licked his tip, tasting the salty fluid. Tom cried out, his hips jerking involuntarily as his eyes rolled back in ecstasy. Marsha giggled knowing she had complete control over him. “Ungh the power! Is that how it feels like when you’re with Amy? Knowing their addicted to you? Well let me tell you Tom, it feels so much better when there are true feelings involved. When they're desperate for it. Trust me Tom I want all of you, mind and body. I want you to cum all over me Tom. I want to feel you inside me.” Marsha quickly got on her knees and began sucking. “W..wait Marsha! You don’t know what you’re doing. The succubus said women won’t be able to resist me… so I stayed away.” Marsha’s head continued to Bob up and down on his cock.
She popped off and looked up at him while using both hands to pump his member. “Is it because you love me?” Tom looked down with a face of concern “I didn’t want to take advantage unnn fuck”
“I want you to say it then I want you to cum” she pumped harder as Tom began to twitch.
“I…I love you. I’ve always loved you!” Tom shuddered as he felt his balls begin to empty as cum purged from his cock. Marsha smiled as it covered her face then immediately evaporated.
Tom jerked back in surprise. “A normal woman wouldn’t be able to resist you. A succubus however…. Well they can love you for you. Oh mmmm fuck that felt good to say out loud.” Marsha tilted her head back and began to moan.
A purple flame enveloped Marsha as her mousy brown hair turned a bright orange. The pale skin became tan and her puny stature grew immediately. The clothes morphed into black lingerie as her hips widened and breasts blossomed. Tom gulped as before him now was the buxom, gorgeous succubus who he made a deal with. Marsha panted as if she had just been running a race, her breasts heaving up and down.
“Well I guess I have some explaining to do”

falling in love at a coffee shop pt. 4 [ELLIE W]
summary: when your favorite barista turns out to have a girlfriend (an ex? you weren't too sure) you got cold feet and ran
genre: fluff/angst
wc: 2.5k
a/n: lord.... im so sorry this took so long and tbh im not happy with it at all LMFAO im thinking either one or two more parts to this as well! so sorry i haven't been updating recently life has come at me hard! im hoping to get fewer hours at work so i can have some free time bc omfg!
part three
The phone buzzing against the desk was seriously starting to distract you. It had been going off incessantly since you left Ellie's house in a rush, and you just assumed it was her wanting to explain her side of the story. To be honest, you didn't really want to hear it. Your heart felt like it was torn into two earlier this morning. But you should've known, someone that attractive and funny and kind had to come with some sort of baggage. You just didn't expect it to be a whole girlfriend.
Your thumbnail was sitting in between your teeth as you slightly nibbled on it. Dina was laying across from you with worry etched into her features. She was usually amazing with words, never having trouble gossiping or giving advice, but when you came storming in with tears about to fall over your lash line, she couldn't quite find the words to console you. She awkwardly stammered until she realized all you wanted was moral support.
The phone had only been silent for a minute before it started buzzing again. You groan, sitting up to finally grab the stupid device. The buttons on the side were squeezed under your fingers until you could swipe to fully cut off the phone.
Now it couldn't bother you anymore.
Dina sits up, staring at you with pity, "Would it hurt to just hear her out, maybe? Didn't you say you heard her say something about breaking up?"
You gnaw on your bottom lip, "I can't," Dina seems upset at your choice, "Seeing that girl, Cat I think, in front of Ellie was like a slap in the face. She could've been lying about breaking up, Dee. I just don't know." You sigh, crossing your arms to try and soothe yourself a bit.
Dina jumps off of the bed and makes her way to you, a grin spreading over her lips as if she just thought of the best idea. Knowing Dina, you had a feeling about what she was about to say.
"Wanna get trashed?"
--
The bar was packed even though it was a random Tuesday night. Sounds of college-aged people screaming the song playing filled your ears and chatting with their friends filled your ears. Dina had already shimmied to the bar, ordering a drink for you and for her, before making her way to the dance floor. She was gone with the wind now. You only hoped she would make it back to your dorm without you dragging her home. You decided to keep a low profile and hang by one of the back walls. It was better that way.
You didn't feel like dancing away your inner struggles. Realistically, you needed to talk to Ellie about this. But how could you just call her up when you ignored her for a whole day? A shiver went down your spine when you thought about the conversation that was going to have to take place.
A part of you was still mad at Ellie. You didn't want to have the conversation. But you were going to have to be mature about it one day. You couldn't just ignore her forever.
A voice cut your running thoughts off, "Aren't you?" You turn around to meet Jesse's eyes, "Hey, it is you! How ya' doing?" As kind as ever, he gives you a side hug while enthusiastically greeting you.
"I'm good!" You shout over the music. He motions to the cup in your hand and you nod, "Some sort of tequila."
He grimaces, "Oh, lord. You tryin' to die or somethin'?"
You purse your lips, "Yeah. Something like that."
Jesse pats your shoulder while laughing off your statement, "How did things go with Ellie? Man, she was so excited about it." His hands shoot up to gesture, "That's all she could talk about last shift was how you were gonna go over to her place. She was like a kid in a candy store!"
Your heart shatters. It felt awful to ignore her like that and a part of you wondering if you were acting crazy. Ellie said she could explain, yet, you just left her. Then you turned your phone off as if you couldn't give her the time of day.
Your eyebrows pinch, "It was good... until..." The words die in your throat. Jesse was a good friend of Ellie's and you had come to get pretty acquainted with him but was he a good one to confide in?
His face falls into confusion, "Until?" You see a flash of concern before his face returns to the original confusion.
"Until," You bite the bullet. Now is as good of a time as ever to pour your heart out, "Until her ex or maybe girlfriend? Until whatever she was came over. I totally left Ellie after not giving her a moment to explain. I'm starting to feel like a little bit of a bitch about it..." A fake half-laugh comes out to deflect how truly awful you felt.
Jesse's eyes widen and he sets his drink down, fully turning toward you, "Woah, woah. Was her name Cat?"
You nod and Jesse rubs his hands over his face. The loud techno music silents his hushed curses before he grabs your wrist to drag you out of the bar. The drink in your hand flies out as your legs try to keep up with his wide stride. Your eyes scan the room until you see Dina — who is cheering you on? She looks at you with a thrilled expression before giving you a thumbs up.
Oh my God.
Words of protest spew out of your mouth, trying to get him to just slow down yet Jesse only walks faster. Once you make it to the parking garage he turns back to you. You just hope he ignores the way you are trying to catch your breath.
Jesse starts to fidget with his hands as if he's thinking over what he's about to say.
Your anxiety spikes when he finally asks you what he wanted.
"Is it okay if I take you to Ellie's?"
--
The ride over to Ellie's house felt as if it took forever. The beating in your chest almost had you sick as you thought of all the possible things that could happen. What if Ellie completely rejected you after this? What if she looked at you with disgust and contempt when she opened her door? What if that Cat girl answers the door instead? You slide down farther into the passenger seat as the anxiety-ridden thoughts became too much.
You were beginning to recognize the area. It didn't make you feel any better — it just meant you were that much closer to having to be mature and talk through what happened. As much as you enjoyed hiding from those complicated feelings, you couldn't do that right now.
Jesse taps his steering wheel while taking in a deep breath, "Look, I know you're nervous and all but... you really shouldn't be," You lift your head to look at him, "She's really into you. I think she will be over the moon that you decided to talk this out face to face."
You purse your lips, "Yeah, but what if she isn't? I left in a completely bitchy way."
Jesse shakes his head, "Trust me, I would've done the same thing if I woke up to Cat's shrill whining."
You were slightly taken aback, "What do you mean by that?"
"I think it's better if Ellie explains that to you."
The air from the vents blows on your face, warming it up. The city lights slowly started to disappear behind you.
"If I know anything about Ellie," His car goes into park. Your head whips to your right and there it was — her house, "She loves giving second chances. Now, go talk this through. I do not wanna deal with a mopey Ellie tomorrow." He jokes around. His words made you feel somewhat better but as you opened the car door and the cool air hits your face, the anxious feeling started to creep up again.
The steps took you a good 30 seconds to get up — stopping every so often to look back at Jesse's car to which he would lift his hands in a supportive motion. Like a father telling their son to, 'go get 'em, tiger!' except he wasn't your dad and you weren't ready to get 'em.
When the large oak door is finally in front of your face, you turn around one last time but Jesse's car was pulling off now. At least he waited until you were fully on the doorstep. It was now or never.
Never sounded pretty good.
Working up courage was never your strong front and god, you wished Dina was beside you to knock on the door but she wasn't. You were going to have to do this. Your hand makes contact with the door producing three heavy raps against the door.
She doesn't answer. She doesn't answer for a while. There isn't even a sign of life behind the door. All you hear is the cars honking faintly where you came from.
You begin to feel hopeless. Deciding to give her one final chance, you knock even louder this time. When you hear rustling on the other side of the door, your stomach lurched.
"Coming..." Her voice sounded solemn. A grimace pulled at your features at the sound. You caused that.
The door swung open, it seemed like she didn't even look into the peephole, and she openly gawked at you for a couple seconds — a dusty pink rose underneath the smattering of freckles on her cheeks. Her socked foot tapped against the wooden floor as she leaned against the door. She finally snapped out of her catatonic state.
"Uh," She voices first, "What are you doing... here?" The words were strangled as they came out.
You take your bottom lip in between your teeth. There was no dancing around this, "Can we talk? About this morning?"
Ellie perks up a bit. There is a look of pain still lingering but she looks more eager to share what actually happened. You were eager to hear it.
"Yeah," She opens the door further, waving you to come in, "Please come in. It's cold."
Stepping inside her house gave you a weird feeling. There was such a great memory inside of here but also one that left you with the worst bitter taste in your mouth. You wanted nothing more than to make more amazing memories in here but you needed to hear what exactly happened this morning.
Ellie guides you to the couch, the couch where you talked for hours, which looked as if she had lived on it for the past 10 hours. There were blankets stacked upon each other while water bottles were littered along the table in front of the couch. You saw the noise cancelling headphones strewn on the table and figured that's why she didn't answer.
You sit down on the edge, rubbing your hands on the front of your thighs. Ellie joins you except she is leaning back on the couch but you can tell with how she's wringing her hands, she's just as nervous.
"I guess the most burning question I have is," Ellie sits up at the sound of your voice. Like she was ready to give you any answer you needed, "Who was she? Why did she seem so hurt by me being here?"
Ellie clears her throat, hands tapping on her leg now as she searches for the right words, "That was Cat, my ex-girlfriend," It would be a lie to say you didn't feel some sort of relief at that, "She is having a hard time coming to terms with that, though. As you saw, she still frequently comes to my house even if I tell her not to." Ellie gives a pained laugh before flicking her eyes over to you to gauge your reaction.
You sigh at that, "How long has it been? Since you broke up?"
"Oh," Ellie scoffs, "A while. It's been around.... 7 months? 7 and a half? Long enough. Jesse calls her a pimple that just won't leave." It suddenly makes sense why Jesse wanted you to come talk to her.
A tension lifts off of your shoulders at that. Ellie wasn't playing you for a fool. She just had a clingy ex. Your hand reaches out to grab hers, which she lets happen without any sort of resistance. Ellie even looks at you while a smile tugs at the corners of her lips.
Guilt settles deep within your chest now. You wanted to smile back but the dreadful emotion was eating at your chest. Ellie notices how your body went from relaxed to tense again. She twists back to you.
"Hey, you've gone rigid on me again," She jokes, her hand soothingly stroking your forearm, "What's wrong? Please, tell me or ask me anything. I'll say it all. I don't wanna keep secrets."
Your eyes flicker over to meet hers, tears brimming your waterline. Ellie shakes her head at the sight as if she's telling you not to cry. But the tears still sit in your lash line, threatening to spill over. Ellie's hand comes up to cup your face while the hand holding your hand squeezes tightly trying to reassure you.
You try to blink away the tears but instead one drips down causing Ellie to coo, "I feel like a bitch, Ellie. Didn't even give you the chance-"
Ellie cuts you off, "I wouldn't have given me a chance to explain either," Her voice wobbles a bit, "I don't blame you, who wants to get woken up by that? I just was scared I, fuck is it too early? Whatever, I was scared I lost you this morning."
You purse your lips at that while you shake your head. Ellie continues, "I know we haven't known each other for a while but I want to continue to see you. I think... I think I really like you." Her face flushes a bright red as she says that. Her palm precipitates a light sheen of sweat while she waits for your response. You can see her mentally preparing for the rejection.
You decided not to keep her waiting. She had done enough waiting today, "I want to continue to see you too."
The beaming expression she gives you clears any guilty emotions you had lingering. Now you just needed to show Ellie how much you liked her.

Tormented Tales (Husk x Reader Coffee Shop AU)
Summary:
Coffee shop AU with Husk and a twist!
Notes:
Word count: 2283 Requested by: Melted_Halo on AO3 Ty for the request! I hope you don’t mind my twist on this chapter! Im assuming (like Angel Dust) that Husk had a different name before he sold his soul? Or adopted the nickname Husk later in life/death. So I literally looked up popular names from his time period to make him a name lol.
The bells chimed as you opened the door and walked into your regular coffee shop. Your town wasn’t necessarily big, but it wasn’t small either. It was quaint. If you go to places regularly enough you’d know everyone there, and boy did you frequent this coffee shop a lot. Your best friend actually worked there. “Hey Lily!” You smiled at her as you approached the counter “I’ll take my usual”
Lily greeted you back and nodded before punching your order into the system and waving you off. One of the many perks of having a friend who was in charge of the towns coffee shop, you never really had to pay for your drinks.
After you sat down at your regular spot you noticed someone knew in the shop behind the counter making drinks, being trained by Lily. ‘Who’s this cutie?’ You thought to yourself as you couldn’t help but notice his attractive features. The stranger was around your age, probably early to mid twenties. His face a bit pale, with bushy eyebrows and unkept wild black hair to match.
Distracted by the man, you didn’t even notice when Lily came to give you your drink. “Hello, earth to Y/N”
“Sorry Lily I was uh…distracted” Lily smirked at you, noticing where you were looking before she interrupted. “Who’s the new guy?”
“Oh you mean Charles? I just hired him a few days ago, todays his first official day behind the bar. Teaching him how to run everything”
You hummed, acknownledging her explanation as you sipped your drink.
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
As days turned to weeks you couldn’t help but frequent the coffee shop a bit more and more to admire the new cute barista at work.
Today Lily wasn’t here, something about a wedding she had to go to out of state. When you went into the shop today you immediately noticed, to your surprise, that Charles was at the counter and seemed to be working all by himself. ‘I guess it is pretty slow at this time’ you shrugged as you approached the counter.
“Hi” you greeted sweetly.
Charles looked up at you with a stoic face “Hey, um, Y/N right?”
You looked at him a bit surprised that he knew your name. “That would be me” you said awkwardly “How did you-“ you were going to ask how he knew your name before he cut you off.
“I see you in here everyday, I’m always making the drink you order…couldn’t help but notice you.” He blushed a bit, “anyway you want your regular?”
“Yes please” you nodded in confirmation, excited that he knew your name and your regular order.
“Alright that will be $5.23” he deadpanned as he reached his hand up towards you for payment.
“Uhhhh” you hesitated before frantically looking through your bag to find any form of payment.
He chuckled softly at you “I’m just fucking with ya doll, go sit down I’ll bring it to you in a sec” he winked.
You blushed at his words before nodding appreciatively and going to your usual spot. You always loved to watch him make drinks, especially when it was yours. It also helped that he looked rather handsome in the uniform, who knew a simple white button down long sleeve could look so appealing on someone?
In no time he walked up to your table with your drink in hand. “Here you go Y/N”
“Thanks” you replied as he turned away to go back behind the bar “Wait a sec!” You said quickly making him pause before he could get too far.
“Something wrong with your drink?” He asked nervously
“No no, I just wanted to know if you’d sit with me, maybe we could chat for a bit”
He looked around the empty shop and shrugged “Don’t see why not” he smiled.
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
You ended up staying to chat with him for his whole shift. Occasionally you two would get interrupted by a customer, but he would quickly take care of their order then come back and pick up the conversation as if he never left. You two talked about seemingly everything. Your age, his troublesome family, how he lived a casino.
“You know I even do a little bit of magic” there was a sparkle in his eye as he revealed this new fun fact to you.
“Oh this I need to see to believe” you teased. He laughed at you but complied, pulling out of deck of cards he just so happened to have on hand. “You always keep those on you?”
“All true magicians do” He quickly and skillfully shuffled the cards and had you choose a card and memorize it. Next thing you know the card you thought was shuffled back into the deck was getting pulled out from behind your ear.
“Wow!” You exclaimed “You’re actually really good at that! Show me another!” Husk chuckled and was about to protest but his coworker came up to him.
“Hey Husker I’m here for my shift so you’re good to go now”
“Thanks,” he said a bit irritated and dismissive
“Husker?” You questioned.
“Dumb nickname,” he replied rolling his eyes before turning back to you “anyways want to get out of here?”
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
The two of you left the coffee shop and wondered around town still chatting about whatever came to your minds, until you figured it was getting late. “Well I think I should probably head home now, it was lovely spending time with you today”
“Are you sure you don’t want me to walk you home?”
“No that’s alright”
“I insist Y/N, its not always safe around here you know that,” He wasn’t wrong, there’s no denying that there was a creeping sense of danger growing in the town recently due to some girls going missing, and you didn’t really want to say bye yet, so you accepted his offer.
As you walked home he started asking you more and more questions “So what’s your dream”
You laughed at him “My dream?”
“Yeah you know, your goal in life”
You hummed thinking to yourself for a moment “Its a bit silly but I always wanted to open a little bookshop cafe.”
“I don’t think that’s silly at all, why don’t you?” He questions. Valid since your best friend ran a shop, who’s to say you couldn’t.
You explained to him that you had responsibilities to your family and it just never seemed like the right time to start something that time consuming, but that you still wish to one day.
He accepted that answer “Well I know you’ll do it eventually, what are you gonna call it?”
“Tormented Tales and Tempting Treats” you said confidently
He laughed at the oddness of the name, but it made perfect sense coming from you and he liked it. “Not bad”
Eventually you made it to your apartment and were a bit disappointed to be separating from him, you throughly enjoyed his company. “Well this is me” you said hesitantly, “thank you for walking me home.”
“Of course, no problem Y/N” you made your way to the doorstep of your apartment building, “see you tomorrow?” He asked.
“See you tomorrow” you confirmed sweetly making your way inside, waving one last goodbye to him.
It wasn’t until later that you noticed writing on the coffee cup from just one of your many refills. ‘Let’s do this again soon’ was written in his sloppy yet beautiful hand writing. You blushed and couldn’t bare throw away the cup anymore. ‘That sneaky magician’ you thought to yourself.
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Ever since that day the two of you had a shared friendship that everyone else assumed to be a relationship. You couldn’t really say they were wrong, the two of you did have pet names for each other, shamelessly flirt, and overall acted liked a couple. But then again the two of you also never really confirmed anything.
You found that you no longer had to go up to the counter to order drinks anymore. Every time you went into the shop there he would be, at your usual table waiting for you. Reading a book in one hand and the other next to his own drink on the table, yours sat across from him prepped and ready for you, just as you like it. He’d time it so his breaks were when you came in, so he could sit down and spend time with you, even if it was busy.
Everything was going exceptionally well. You were happy, he was happy.
Until that one unfortunate evening.
Maybe fight is too harsh of a term, but you were frustrated with him. The two of you were supposed to meet at the local book store after he got off work but he never showed up. It was well pass dark now and the shop had closed, you were pissed to say the least. He had been hiding a lot of things from you, things about his family that he claimed were dangerous and that he didn’t want to get you involved in.
You were mad, and since he was supposed to come from work you were holding out hope that maybe he had to stay and work later. With a little bit of hope you began making your way across town to the coffee shop where you hoped he’d be waiting. But unfortunately you never made it to the shop. With everything else occupying your mind you had forgotten about all the scary things happening around town recently, and with your guard down it was too late before you felt a sharp and sudden pain on your head, then everything went black, then you woke up in an unfamiliar red hellish place in an unfamiliar body. You were dead. You were in hell.
It was well into the next day before he had found out what happened to you. He went to your shared apartment with Lily holding flowers, hoping he could make up for standing you up. His family kept him from you that night and he had no way of contacting you. As soon as he arrived outside your building he knew something was wrong. Police cars were swarmed all throughout the street and police officers around your building. He cursed to himself and ran up to your apartment looking for you, only to find Lily, crying, speaking to the police. With the sudden noise of his arrival Lily looked up and recognized the panic on his face and shook her head continuing to sob.
The flowers from his hands fell. He knew what had happen. You were gone.
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
(Flash forward to Husk living at the Hotel in Hell)
Husk lost track of how long it had been since he wound up down in hell. And he lost hope of finding you even longer before that. There’s no way that a sweet thing like you would’ve ended up down here with him.
Well, that was what he’d thought until he overheard a conversation between Charlie and Vaggie one day. “Oh Vaggie you just need to see this bookstore! It so cute! I really think you’d love it, it was called Tormented Treats? No, that not right Tormented something and something treats…” Charlie ranted but Husk was already alarmed.
“Tormented Tales and Tempted Treats?!” He asked suddenly and loudly, interrupting their previous private conversation.
“Yes! Oh that’s it! Have you been there before Husk? Wasn’t it-“ before Charlie could finish her sentence Husk ran out from behind the bar and out the door.
“IM TAKING MY BREAK GOTTA GO BYE”
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
By the time Husk had fully processed his actions he realized he didn’t really have a plan….is it just a coincidence that there’s a shop down in hell with the exact name you envisioned? What if you weren’t really there? What if you were there? He was far too old for you by now. What would you think of his new appearance? How would you even recognize him?
This and many other insecurities started racing through Husk’s mind. But it didn’t matter now because he was standing in the shop, infront of the check out counter, being greeted by a beautiful demon who he hoped to satan was you.
“Hello? Earth to kitty. What can I get for you”
“Um,” Husk hesitated “Is Y/N here?” He asked softly, afraid of being told no.
“That depends who’s asking?” The woman in front of him stood up straighter and was visabilly on guard now.
“Charles,” Husk breathed “Charles Husker”
Her eyes widened “No fucking way. Charles?!” She made her way out from behind the counter to get a better look at him before bringing him in for a tight embrace. “It’s really you?” She asked nuzzled deep in the fur on his neck.
“Yeah doll its me” he said softly, reciprocating the hug, bringing you close to him even tighter than before “I’m sorry it took me so long, I didn’t think you’d be down here”
You laughed at him before pulling away a little, “Its okay Its not like I did a great job of finding you either.”
“To be fair I do go by Husk now…” he trailed off sheepishly.
“Husk, you mean like the ex overlord Husk?!” You asked surprised
He smirked a bit at this before confirming.
“Oh my satan how did I not fucking put that together. WAIT AN OVERLORD?!”
“Ex-Overlord” he clarified.
“Yeah yeah whatever, get the fuck over here so we can catch up,” you pulled him into the back room of your shop, where your office was “I missed you so much”
“I missed you more doll, we have so much to make up for”

Hi! Do you have any new Lamen fics planned tho? And if so is it possible for you to give us hints about the plot?
YES I DO!! 🙌✨🎉
just one. maybe two.
but i've written quite a lot of one particular au. it has very cliche stereotypes - jock damen and ballet dancer laurent who are "friends" with benefits. damen is a complete and utter asshole in this. and he makes laurent's life miserable most of the time. laurent is, naturally, in love with damen.
it also features aleron and laurent getting along but with a twist... (aleron is extremely controlling and overprotective and laurent is People Pleaser to his core in this au so he goes along with all of aleron's restrictions).
i want to finish at least half of it (i already have 20k!!!) before i start posting because i don't want people to be waiting forever in between updates (not that that's what i'm known for hahahaha...............)
anyway enough yapping. here's (part) of the first scene hehe ✨
Damen sucked leisurely, like they had all the time in the world, his thumb breaching Laurent. It was dry, but they both knew how much Laurent loved the painful stretch, the initial press. Laurent’s head was vibrating in pleasure. His stomach was clenching and unclenching; he was going to come soon, and then Damen would really lose it, because he liked fucking into Laurent when he was loose and pliant. The buzzing around his head was growing, and Laurent was shaking, completely— “Shit.” Damen pulled away, just at the crest of Laurent’s orgasm. “Nooo,” Laurent groaned. “Damen, please, I’m—” “Wait. Shut up. Shit.” “What?” Laurent propped himself up on his elbows, because he was just starting to realise Damen sounded panicked, not turned on. And there was a buzzing still in his head—wait, no, next to it; Laurent turned, to where Damen’s phone was on the nightstand, and saw Jokaste’s name flash across the screen. He frowned. “Why is she calling you?” Damen snatched the phone, silencing it. “Shit.” “Why is she calling you, Damen?” Damen exhaled sharply. He ran his hands through his hair, and then seemed to remember there wasn’t much of it left, and his hand fell awkwardly in his lap, where his jeans were stretched and tented. “Look,” he said. “I completely forgot… but, uh, Jokaste and I… We got back together last week.” Laurent shot up. “What?” “Look—” “Are you fucking kidding me, Damen?” Laurent snapped. He didn’t know what to focus on: the infuriating expression on Damen’s face, his almost-orgasm, his half-naked state, the fact that Damen was back with his fucking— “What the fuck is wrong with you? How could you forget that? How could you not tell me—and, and, and, you called me over to—” “Jesus, calm down, alright,” Damen shifted on his knees, looking both morose and furious. “If anything, you should take it as a compliment I forgot about her the moment I saw you—” “What is wrong with you? Who the fuck in their right mind would take that as a compliment?” Laurent hands were shaking with—anger, distraught, frustration—as he pulled up his underwear and pants. The worst part was that his treacherous heart was taking it as a compliment. “Why did you even get back together with her? I thought her sleeping with Kastor—your brother, by the way, in case you fucking forgot—was the last straw.” Damen rolled his eyes, and now he was really starting to look annoyed, eyebrows furrowed, jaw clenched. “That was months ago. And they didn’t sleep together; he just went down on her.” He paused. “Actually, you know what, this works in my favour, since I just went down on you… so it’s kind of like tit for tat. Guilt absolved.” Laurent’s mouth dropped. He stood, whirling on Damen. “Oh my fucking God, Damen. What is wrong with you?” “How many fucking times are you going to ask me that?” “How can you sit there and fucking act like you’ve done nothing wrong?” Laurent cried. “I’ve been fucking twiddling my thumbs, waiting for you, and, and, and last week. You got back with her last week—you couldn’t have told me?” “I deleted your number after she called and—” “Oh my god!” Laurent pressed the heels of his palms into his eyes. “Oh my god. Oh my god. That’s why you’re back early, isn’t it? To see her, before she goes on her retreat?” And here it was: at three-thirty on a Tuesday morning, Damen destroying his entire world and heart with a few simple sentences, in a span of five minutes. This was record-breaking, actually, even for them.
#i was going to post the whole scene but its like 4k long lol#but this is the climax of it#thank you for the ask!!!!#really hoping this goes up soon#maybe april???#thats what im planning anyway#also this was originally a nikandros and laurent fic#and then i re read captive prince and realised how hot damen is#asks

“Hey, Ma,” Frank prances into his family home, followed by Raleigh, and his mother awkwardly gives them both a hug. Frank smiles up at his mom, while Raleigh looks towards the stairs, “So, I’ve been told I have a sister and niece that are back home.”
“Oh,” Debbie answers softly. She hoped to have seen her son under different circumstances. Not to mention, have her family for dinner. Just her family. “Yes, well, thanks to Mr. Beckett, he made sure that they mostly made it all the way home.”
“I did offer to bring them all the way here, Mrs. Weiss. Is she…are they here?” He is too curious about seeing her again. Hopefully talking a bit more one on one. Letting her see that whatever happened, he had forgiven her, and still wanted to be in her life.
“Yes, well, I think being back here is overwhelming for both of them. Especially given…well, Johnny…I’m going to go get her. Dinner is almost ready, and…Frank?” Her youngest son starts to push past his mom, already walking towards the stairs. “Son?”
“I haven’t got to see her or Tanzy. Let me go get them,” Debbie didn’t want to be left alone with Raleigh. She could only hope that he wouldn’t bring up awkward questions of her daughter’s quick departure. Some things just weren’t meant for her to talk about. Because she wasn’t even supposed to know about it.
Frank gives a soft knock on your door, before pushing the almost closed door open. You are gently fixing Tanzy’s hair, and look up at him with a smile. “Hey, Tanz,” he starts choking up. He wasn’t prepared for the emotions to flood in him as his niece looks at him. Eyes as bright blue as her fathers. “Goah, you’ve gotten bigger.”
“It’s been two years since you saw me, Frankie,” Frank walks over to your bed, sitting down beside the two of you. His thumb traces over her features softly, and you lay a hand on his thigh. You could feel his skin buzzing. “I get to sleep in daddy’s room though. There’s still some comics up in the reading attic. Dad was such a geek. But hey, Pix says that I could try out for hockey. Did you know that Johnny Storm knows me?”
“Really?” Frank looks up at you, and you smack at his arm, “Pix?”
“Tanzy, go downstairs, and help Gimma with setting the table,” Tanzy shakes her head no, really wanting to hear more about Johnny, “Tanzy, go. This isn’t a discussion.”
“Fine,” she rolls her eyes, jumping off your bed. She decides to make it her goal to understand more about Johnny. That was her dad’s best friend, and you and he had kept that from her.
You wait until her footsteps start to fade in the distance before you hit Frank on the shoulder, “Why is everyone so concerned with bringing up Johnny?”
“Because he was the reason you fled to Minnesota.”
“No, I went to train for the Olympics,” when Frank starts shaking his head, it just angers you even more, “Yes, I did! I didn’t leave because Johnny…no. I didn’t…you don’t even know. You…you were messed up. You have no idea what you’re even talking about.”
“I know that something happened. I know that Mike followed you with Tanzy. I know that you had to halt training for a couple of weeks for a reason that neither you or Mike want to talk about. I know that you were always closer to Mike than to me. But I also know that you left things with Raleigh so bad,” you roll your eyes, and fall back on the bed. You’d prefer to talk about Raleigh over Johnny, but he wasn’t much better. You were the one that screwed up in the relationship.
“You changed your number, and didn’t even give it to me. So why don’t you tell me what happened between you and Johnny. Or you and Raleigh. I mean you were kinda screwing around with my best friend.”
“Why do you care? You were off doing your own thing. Left Raleigh behind while you were, well, you know what you were doing. How many days have you been sober?” A great way to distract him from this line of conversation. Whatever it took, you would do it.
“One hundred and thirty-six days.”
“Yeah?” Sitting up, you give him the biggest hug. Everyday was a new triumph with Frank. It wasn’t easy for him. “Gosh, I’m so proud of you.”
“I’m proud of you, too. It’s not easy raising a kid alone. Especially one that isn’t yours. And you’re young. You should have been able to live your life. Stay on your path, and now you’re here in bum fuck Egypt where both mine and your brother’s best friends were in love this sweet little Pixie girl,” you give him a hit to his shoulder again. Such a cliche.
“It’s true. Men love forbidden fruit. But only Johnny was the one that was told to stay away,” you stand up, leaving him behind. You didn’t have to hear this. “By the way, Raleigh is downstairs.”
“What?” You stop, and turn around to glare at him. “Can I not have peace in my own home?”
“You left him without breaking up. There’s this weird unfinished business between the two of you,” you wouldn’t have dinner. Marching over to your closet, you dig around, until you find what you're looking for. Old gym bag. Stuffing your skates, and an outfit in there, you throw it over your shoulder.
“Where are you going?”
“To the rink.”
“What? Why?”
“Both you and Raleigh know that I don’t want to talk to him right now. I just got here, and it’s like everything is being fucking forced down my throat. Stay out of this part of my life,” opening up your window, Frank’s eyes go large. You have done this before. “Yeah, it’s easy to sneak up, and out of here. Ask Raleigh.”
You leave him to ponder the fact that Raleigh knew how to climb into your bedroom. Let him think about the fact that your bedroom was above the rarely used bathroom upstairs. No one would ever hear anyone sneaking into your room.
You tighten up your skate, and take a deep breath. Letting your eyes close before those intrusive thoughts come back into your mind. Refusing to let it get the best of you, and you step out onto the ice. Making a few rounds, and going into a zone. Trying to clear your mind of intrusive thoughts.
His hand pushes aside your leotard, ripping your tights, and those piercing blue eyes look into yours, “You sure?”
You launch yourself into the air, spinning around, and land a bit wobbly. It had been awhile since you got to be alone, and this free. Determined to get it right, you try again. Getting the landing right this time.
You cling to his shoulders as he pumps into you. His mouth right by your ear, grunting with every thrust. It is a stinging pleasure. Not at all what you had imagined. His sounds were melodic, and you could already feel a new routine being shaped in your mind with how amazing this felt. Nothing has ever felt better. Could tell a story about sex for the first time with just your skating.
You fall down onto the ice with a growl, lifting yourself up, and start spinning around quickly. And even that doesn’t clear your mind. Too many memories were held in this place.
You kiss over his sticky skin as his thrusts become harder. Heated breath blows over him as you start to lose all control, and he lifts both your legs off the floor. Pressing your back harder into the lockers, and you don’t even care about how uncomfortable it is. Nails digging into his back. Whimpering out his name.
“I know, Princess. I feel you squeezing me.”
You stop abruptly on the ice, and look all around the rink. Had it seriously been that long. A pang on your side has you refusing to believe all these pesky memories you are trying to skate out of your mind. With a huff of air, you start to skate backwards.
“Princess, my god, you’re so tight. Fuck! Is this your first time?” You hear his words, but can’t think to respond, and his cock pounds even harder into your core. Starting to bite on your neck, with a smirk.
“You feel so good. So fucking good.”
Jumping into the air, you land perfectly, and do it again. You would get rid of all it. This was supposed to be relaxing. It wasn’t supposed to be memories of losing your virginity.
He shoots his load into your core, and your eyes glaze over, pouting up at him. “I bet nobody has ever given it to you like that, huh?” Biting at your lip, you shake your head no. “Even good ole, Raleigh? You gonna tell him that I fuck his girlfriend better?”
That is the last thing you wanted, and you try to speak, “Shh, princess, this can be our little secret. He may crawl up to your bedroom window, but this locker room is ours, okay? Say it with me.”
“O-okay.”
“Good girl,” you slide to a stop on the ice, and turn to glare at Johnny who was slowly clapping his hands. “That’s my good fucking girl,” he skates out onto the ice, but you move further away from him, “Is that how you treat the best lay of your life.”
“Drop dead.”
“No. No, we’re not playing that game, Pix. You’re getting all salty, but you were the one cheating. Did Raleigh ever get to fuck you? Or was it just dry humping? Imagine my surprise when I opened the door, and that’s all you were giving him. When you gave me every part of you. I popped that cherry, didn’t I? You were so in love with Raleigh, and still willing to be my good girl.”
“I hate you,” swallowing bile, you skate away from him. “I hate you. You…you never even said goodbye to Mike.”
“Yeah, well after I got a good chewing out from him, I didn’t think he wanted me at the funeral. What exactly was he so pissed off for, Princess?” Try as you might to skate away from him, he wraps both arms around you, and squeezes. “Hey, please, I know I'm an asshole most of the time, but…what we had…”
“It was just fucking. Don’t flatter yourself.”
“Just…okay. We were just fucking, and you were still telling your dear boyfriend that you were in love with him. Still wore that ugly ring every time that we fucked. But you never looked at him the way you looked at me, and that’s why you can’t look at me right now. Pix, look at me,” your eyes clench closed, and you become dead weight. You would not.
“What happened? You ran, and Mike followed, and then he called to cuss me out. Told me he never wanted to see me again. Said that Tanzy would never know who I was because I didn’t deserve to see her anymore. Raleigh, he thinks I’ve never met her. You tell him that or did Mike? I’ve got pictures holding her, Pix. We…you and I…what the fuck happened?”
“I had a boyfriend!” His arms finally drop from your body, and you back away. “We were — Johnny, Raleigh was my boyfriend, not you. And…I couldn’t do it. I couldn’t lie to him, and only Mike knew the truth, and…God, I didn’t even want to come back here. To you or him. I wanted to forget that anything had happened, and Tanzy isn’t…she not ours — mine. I gotta go.”
“What?” Johnny starts chasing after you, trying to decipher your broken words. “Pix, just talk to me.”
“No! You come here acting like that, and all I ever was to you was pussy. Fresh, tight pussy. Yes, Johnny, that first time in the locker room was my first time. That should have been for Raleigh. We should have been more careful, but just like us to be reckless. All I do is lie, so I’ll continue to do it.”
“What is going on?” He skates in front of the door, blocking you from leaving, “Can we just talk like normal people? I took your virginity. I didn’t know. But what is this other stuff you’re talking about? We weren’t careful? You were on birth control.”
“What gave you that idea?” He tries touching your arm, but you shrug him off again. “Stop touching me! You…it was just sex. Clearly, I should have realized that. You got your contract for the Bruins, and…I didn’t matter. I made my choice. And it wasn’t Raleigh, and it was a mistake. All of it was. Now move.”
Johnny slowly moves out of the way, letting you move past him, “By the way, your goddaughter wants to play hockey. I heard that you’re teaching. Do us a favor, and pay for her lessons. It’s the least you can do. You never paid for anything else. Even if it concerned you. You never paid..”
“What the fuck are you talking about?”
“God, just shut up! I’m not having this fucking conversation with you or anyone. It doesn’t matter anymore. Don’t try to insert yourself now. Just be there for Tanzy. It’s the least you could do. I didn’t come back here for any other reason than her. Not for you, I didn’t even know about this. And not for Raleigh, but for her.”
Johnny watches you walk down the hall. He didn’t want to chase after you. Didn’t want to object. But there was pain that was more than your brother’s death. More than leaving your dreams behind. He isn’t sure if it’s just the fact that you felt forced into raising Tanzy on your own when nobody asked you to.
And maybe that was the problem. Johnny never stepped up when he agreed to be her godfather. But Mike was pissed off when he called. Told Johnny he never wanted to see him again. And kept asking, ‘How could you do this?’
This meeting left him with more questions than answers. But you were willing to bring Tanzy to be on his team, so you would have to face him. Although talking in front of children was never going to happen. He could ease his way back into your life, just like he had done before.
For a short moment, you were his kryptonite, and he was your everything. Living your double life with your actual boyfriend, while you were also having sex with Johnny. Stirring feelings inside him that he didn’t even think existed. Using the fact that you had a boyfriend as a way to keep it as casual sex, but it wasn’t. For either of you. During that time both of you only slept with each other. He never stopped going on dates, and you had a boyfriend. One that climbed up your window, and was patient with you.
A boyfriend that thought you were a virgin when you quite literally had sex with Johnny any chance you got. You had made a sacrifice, that didn’t include him, and he isn’t even sure of what happened. Why or even how it happened. But you wanted to bring Tanzy for practice. So Johnny was going to have to be on his best behavior, because Raleigh still had feelings for you. Raleigh still wanted what you never gave to him.
“I’m fucked,” Johnny grunts, dropping down onto the ice. He didn’t want to be here. He didn’t want to coach girls hockey. But there you were. Looking more beautiful than ever, even with your haunting sadness. A sadness that was deep inside of you and was ready to pop out at any moment.
“The universe and Mike Weiss still hates me,” sitting up, the banner of the championship team that he and Mike had been a part of mocks him. “Yeah, yeah, I know you hate me. But she and your daughter were brought back into my life for some reason. Man, I don’t know what happened, but I loved her. Our paths were going in two different ways, but…she was it. She was the one, and then she left, and I became more of an asshole.”
He gets up to his feet to stare at that stupid banner, “Say you want, Michael, but I loved your sister. She was the one that stayed with Raleigh.”
“Raleigh,” you whine, climbing back into your room. You couldn’t escape them. This town was too small, but there was no reprieve from either him nor Johnny, “What are you doing?”
“You left the light on, so I climbed up. Wasn’t that the code? You didn’t want to talk to me before, and now you can’t scream. I just want the past in the past. No hard feelings. Can we start again?”
“I cheated on you,” Raleigh gulps, looking at your bed. “There, now we can move on.”
“Who was it?”
He never looks at your face. And his jaw pulses with anger, “You know who.”
“Define cheated. I mean, we never even had sex.”
“Everything.”
“You know, you really enjoy pushing people out of your life. You really like twisting the knife. You were telling me you loved me, and that you wanted to wait, and the whole time you were fucking Johnny Storm? I fucking knew it, too. He started coming to your meets. He started watching you from the back, and never fucking sat down. I was always there in the front for my girlfriend. But you want to know the kicker was for me? He got injured, and you were watching him, so worried. I told myself then it was because he was Mike’s friend, but no, it was because you were fucking him.”
“Yep,” you let your arms slap at your thighs. There was nothing more to say. “I let him fuck me. The only man who ever has gotten to. And…I have nothing more to say. There it is. All of it. I was fucking Johnny Storm. Now we can move on,” Raleigh’s fists pump for a second before he walks over to your window.
Throwing his legs out before looking at you, “I loved you.”
“I know you did.”
“Did you ever love me?”
“It’s complicated,” with a nod of his head, Raleigh starts climbing down the trellis on the side of the house. And you rub on your stomach when you fall back on your bed. It was complicated. It was always going to be complicated. And no one would ever know just how complicated it was.

Keiji - Instructor - 🫣
For @scruffymctee a Keiji story. Featuring approx. 2000 words of that red-headed scoundrel Keiji and his lessons with Mai!
Keiji felt a flare of annoyance and suppressed it as best he could. Which was to say, no one picked up on it. Certainly not the ronin-turned-Oda-soldier that was hanging around after spear practice. He just kept asking questions, drawing the conversation out and there was no way to politely end it.
Mai was over by the weapon rack, checking her practice spear before putting it away. There would be a narrow window of time to get her attention before she waltzed out of the room, and out of Keiji’s day.
The soldier finally got the idea when Keiji pointedly glanced toward Mai and raised an eyebrow. “Oh - ah - I can ask later. Yeah. Umm. See you!” He backed out awkwardly, a knowing smirk on his face.
Keiji bit back a retort. He needed these men to respect him, and he had to build a relationship of trust with them. Biting their heads off for a smirk would not help, but damn it was hard not to sometimes.
The exit was just in time at least. Mai had just put up her weapon and was on her way toward the door. She raised her hand to wave at him.
“Hey, hold up princess.”
She stopped and turned. “What? Did I forget something or -”
“No. No, nothing like that. It’s not always something wrong.” Keiji felt his face heat as he realized usually when he held her back after class it was because she’d done something incorrectly.
“Oh. Then . . . what is it?”
Keiji noted the way her gaze drifted over his bare torso to his low-slung hakama and then snapped back up. Her cheeks held a faint tinge of pink. “I was thinking, if you really want to be able to protect yourself, you should learn some hand to hand. Self defense, when you don’t have a weapon.”
Which was true-ish. He had thought about it. Never mind the ulterior motive.
Mai pursed her lips in thought and then nodded. “That sounds like a good idea. I mean, I don’t always have a spear with me, right?” Her smile came in full force then, bright and beautiful. “Thank you so much for offering! When should we start?”
“I thought we could do a session today, just to give me an idea of what might be good for you to learn.”
“Alright. I never plan much for spear-training days so I’m free.” She shifted her weight to her back foot, clearly a little nervous now that she was thinking about what training might entail. “So what do we do?”
Keiji smirked. “First lesson, don’t look so scared. I’m not gonna hurt you.”
“I know!” She frowned at him fiercely. “I just don’t want to look like I don’t know what I’m doing.”
“I don’t expect you to know. That’s why we’re training. Now relax.” He closed the distance between them and stepped behind her. “I’m going to pretend to be an enemy. We’ll move slow, and I’ll tell you how to get away from every attack, ok?”
Mai nodded. “Ok. I think I can do that. And . . . thanks. For being nice about this.”
“I’m not nice, princess. I just figure if you’re committed to this path, we’re gonna do it right.” He felt something in his chest tighten at her words. Thanking him for being nice! Did she see him as some rude ogre? Well . . . he was. He’d acted like that to her.
Keiji cleared his throat and tried to shake off the tension. “Ok. So I’m gonna put my hands here -” He pressed close against her, trying to ignore the way she felt, her back against his chest. One arm went around her neck and the other around her hip. “Now, if somebody gets you like this, what do you do?”
She tried to elbow him and he caught her arms with the hand at her hip, while tightening his forearm against her throat. Mai was too close to get a good kick in, especially when he slid his leg between hers.
He let her struggle against him for a moment so she could try her instinctive movement. Valiantly ignoring how good it felt to hold her, even in this awkward way, of course. “Ok, ok settle down. You can’t pull away like you’re trying to. The best way out of this is to move back into me.”
Mai made a little sound of protest.
“I’m serious. You can use the back of your head to baaa-ahhh!” That was as far as he got when her head smashed into his nose and mouth. Keiji let go and stumbled back. His hand cupped his face where he could feel the beginning trickle of warmth from his nose.
“Is that right?” She turned to look at him and her mouth opened in a surprised ‘o’. “Keiji! Oh no! I thought you wanted me to try it!”
Keiji chuckled and it made his nose burble. “It’s fine. Had worse more than once. That was real good.”
“But you’re hurt!” She tugged a bit of cloth from her pocket. “Let me see.”
“It’s fine,” he argued but the blood was already dripping down his chin and she had that stubborn expression she got sometimes. So he knew there wasn’t a way out of this. Keiji dropped his hand to let her get a look at his injuries.
Mai’s expression crumpled like she might cry, but after a breath she was back in stubborn mode. “It - it looks like I split your lip. And your nose is bleeding but I don’t think it’s broken.” She gave it a poke.
“Ow! Hey! Aren’t you supposed to be helping?” He leaned back from her
“I am. I had to see if it was broken!” She frowned. “Now come here and hold still.” When Keiji did as he was told, she dabbed gently at the blood around his mouth, her satin-soft fingertips caressing his chin and his lips.
Keiji shut his eyes, hoping she wouldn’t see his reaction to her touch. “That’s more like it,” he mumbled. The teasing would distract her, he hoped. Because he wasn’t sure what she would do if she realized how much he genuinely liked her. Probably run away. She was a smart girl, after all. And she had half the Oda warlords wrapped around her little finger. Probably most of their vassals too.
“Mmmm, got you pretty good here.” Mai’s words tickled his cheek. She was so close he knew if he just barely shifted forward, they’d be kissing. If not for his busted lip . . . “I think I have something that will help.” She grabbed his hand. “Come on, it’s in my room.”
Keiji let her pull him along the halls, barely paying attention to anything they passed. Her reaction to hitting him was adorable. It wasn’t serious enough to merit more than washing his face of the blood and stuffing a bit of cloth in his nose if it didn’t stop. But she was so concerned.
“Ok, sit here,” she gestured as they stepped into her room.
He sat where she pointed and looked around while she fished for whatever it was that she thought would help. Mai’s room was pretty nice, not as opulent as he’d expected for an Oda princess, but artfully decorated. A few subtle touches that lent it a comfortable feel. His eye was drawn to her work table, where she had a lamp and her current project set out.
Mai settled across from him, so close she was almost sitting in his lap. That brought his attention back to her quickly. Her lips were pressed together as if in deep concentration as she grabbed his chin in one hand. “It looks like your nose stopped bleeding. I’m going to wipe you off first, ok?”
“You know I can do this myself right?” Keiji’s grin made his lip tear open a little more. “You’re not my mom.”
She scowled. “No I’m not. But I did it so just - just let me help.”
“I didn’t say I wouldn’t. I came here. I’m sitting still.” He rolled his eyes. “Should I play the part of trembling vassal, grateful for a maiden’s tender care?”
“Please don’t.”
Keiji made his eyes wider and lowered his voice to a hoarse whisper. “Oh, princess. Your healing touch is like satin flame, burning me with your beauty. I could die in this moment, happy, because you have deigned to notice me.” The words weren’t even a lie.
Mai’s expression was interesting. Lips pale from being pushed together so firmly, probably in annoyance. Cheeks pink with a heated blush. Cheeks tight from held laughter. She didn’t say anything for a moment, then she sighed as if deeply disappointed. “Can you not just accept a little kindness from me? I feel really bad for hitting you in the face.”
“I -” He paused on his snarky reply. She had a point. Could he just accept it? “Fine.”
She smiled at him. “Thanks.” Then she carefully cleaned the blood from his face.
Holding still through it was a torment. He couldn’t help but notice when she brushed against him. Her leg against his, her chest bumping into his arm, her fingers grazing his cheek. Keiji barely felt the actual cloth.
When she finished cleaning him off, she brought out the strangest thing. It was a little red and pink tube, made of some sort of glass? Or maybe it was stone. There was shape on it like a strawberry. “This stuff will keep the skin on your lips soft while the split heals. I use it every winter.” She shrugged, “Or I used to? I guess when I use this one up I’ll have to figure something else out.”
She popped the top of the tube open and out wafted the scent of spring strawberry. Keiji’s eyes widened. “What is that?”
“Umm. In my hometown, we call it chapstick.” She set a finger at the edge of his mouth. “Don’t talk while I apply it.”
He nodded. Keiji wasn’t sure he could say anything, not with her practically leaning on him like this.
Mai pressed the tube against his lips. “You might want to lick it off, but don’t, ok?”
Keiji naturally had to lick his lip the moment she said it. The flavor wasn’t like strawberry at all and he grimaced. “Ugh!”
“I warned you,” she laughed.
“Yeah, you did.” He smiled back at her. In this moment, it felt like she was more than just his student. It felt like she was his friend, perhaps more. He wanted more so badly. Keiji nearly confessed to her then but his pride stopped him. She would say no - had so many reasons to reject him - and it would ruin what they did have. This. Whatever it was.
Mai seemed to pick up on the melancholy behind his grin. She touched his cheek lightly. “You’re going to have a bruise.”
“Not the first one.”
“But the first one I gave you.” She looked almost sad. Her fingers traced a line down his cheek and along his jaw.
Keiji caught her hand and almost brought it to his lips before he realized it. “You make it sound like you’re planning more.” That brought the desired laugh from her, a return of her smile.
“If we do more self-defense training, I guess I might.”
He squeezed her hand and then let go. “We need to do more training if you’re going to drag men you barely know into your room to spend time with you all alone.”
“H-hey! I know you.”
“Do you?” He pushed himself up so that he loomed over her. “Are you sure?”
“Pffft, sure enough.” She smacked his arm. “Enough to know you’d never hurt me. You’re a friend. And I’m not afraid of you.”
Keiji wanted to tell her she should be. He wasn’t a kind man, or a nice one. He was full of a bottled rage that turned everything sour. And even if he didn’t hurt her on purpose, she’d get hurt. But he didn’t say any of that. He did something much worse. He kissed her forehead, leaving a faint pink outline of his lips on her skin. “A friend, huh?”

forever, always..? ♥ s.hj
summary: hyeju is the girl you met on vacation, and over the 2 weeks, you two have gotten so close. so close that it hurts to say bye. why did you get connected so fast?
warnings: fem reader, lowk angst, , hickeys!!!!!!!! not proofread, lmk if i miss any!!
notes: first loona work on this acc 🥹 they were the first group i stanned so like. let’s give her some justice!! idk if anyone who follows likes loona so i’m not expecting this to do well, but rb/comment if u liked it if u want!! i love seeing yalls thoughts~~
collecting shells on the beach for the last time as you told eachother drama from your lives was the last thing each of you wanted. hyeju was just so charming to you, you couldn’t stop talking to her. and you were so comforting to hyeju, she just found home within you, and in 15 hours, your new found best friend would be gone, across the world, only left to think about and text. oh how you’d miss her hand holding yours as she dragged you everywhere with her, or the way she hugged you before you each went to your family’s beach houses.. you’d miss it. and this was definitely the highlight of your summer.
you quickly get snapped out of your thoughts by hyejus arm linking with yours, nudging you slightly. “yn, you’re sunburnt, here i have some aloe vera at my house, lemme help you!!” she whines, but you oblige as you and the girl trot through the sand and up the wooden ramp that leads to her family’s beach house.
once you both kick the sand off your feet, she leads you inside and sits you on the counter, digging through her beach bag as you watch her, giggling at how much she’s rushing. when she finds the green bottle, she pumps a little of the cold gel and swipes it gently on your cheeks, chuckling at how you flinch at the cold to hot contact. “yn, i can’t have you being all sunburnt and uncomfy in the airrrrr~!” she drags, moving to put some gel on your shoulders as her gentle hands rub it in, tongue slightly poking from her triangle lips in concentration. “you’re so sweet to me, hyejuuuuu!” you say, leaning your head back as you take in the house you’ve spent a few nights at, hands gripping the counter as hyeju finshes up. “i try!! .. but yn, do you ever believe in soulmates?” she says quietly as she washes the aloe off her hands, looking up at you on the counter.
well? yes! this whole trip you had practically ranted every night to your friends over text that this girl was totally your soulmate!! she was so sweet and you connected so fast. there was no way she wasn’t.
“uhhhh, kinda! why? you have someone back home you’re waiting on? do you want advice?” you ask, awkwardly laughing, if so, she probably only thought of you as friends, you didn’t even know if she liked girls like that. “um, no— i- don’t judge me for this but like.. i think we’re soulmates. like there’s no way we aren’t. we’ve gotten so close over a few days and i just think so much of you. i like you..???!! i think?? i don’t know, it feels like i’ve known you for a few months. you don’t even have to like me back. it’s just we only have a few more hours together and i just wanted to tell you.” hyejus dries her hands off and avoids eye contact as you drum your fingers on the countertop. how does someone respond to that. ‘i like you too but we can’t really date if we live so far out!!!’ like hello?
“me too. um, yeah i don’t know what we’re going to do about it though, you live on the other side of the wor—“ she cuts you off, pulling you into a hug with a smile, shaking her head as she ruffles your salty hair. “we can do something about it now? give you enough kisses till i can see you again.” she says, snickering a little as her thumb runs over your knuckles. “sure!” you say, laughing as she pulls you off the counter and onto the couch sitting you down next to her, she looks at you for a bit before doing anything, though. she’s really just admiring your features, you’re so pretty to her?? like she just loves you. she starts peppering light pecks all over your cheeks, moving to the tip of your nose before moving to your forehead, hands twirling through your hair. you laugh a little, it was cute, kind of ticklish, until hyeju moves down to your jaw, peppering kisses under it as her hands wrap around your upper arms, nibbling ever so slightly at the skin, making you gasp. “hyeju….!!!” you laugh, your finger poking at her shoulder. “sorry, sorryyyy, i’m just gonna miss you so much.” she says with a small pout, moving to pick up your hand, peppering kisses along your knuckles and up your index finger before just intertwining her hand with yours, thumb running along the protruding bones of your hand.
“you’re such a pretty girl, you know that, yn?” she says, not even giving you time to respond before she softly plants her lips on yours, it all felt so natural. like you hadn’t just met two saturdays ago.. maybe you were soulmates? there was no way this wasn’t fate with how quickly you got acquainted.
she pulls away, pecking the tip of your nose before moving to your ear, whispering. “can i leave you with something that’ll have you remember this the whole flight back? and a little while after that, too?” you can practically feel the charming smile on her face that always made your stomach get butterflies, you nod, face turning pink at the situation. hyeju moving her head back to your jaw, placing small and light kisses along it, nibbling like before, then moving down to your collarbone, leaving a blooming purple mark. chuckling as she pulls away. “didn’t want your family piecing together what we did when we were supposed to go buy souvenirs..” she says, placing a small peck on the hickey before leaving another, and another… you wouldn’t forget this for a while.

soon after your little moment, you both left her beach house to go to a small beach shop a few blocks over, giggling as you pick up the silly little trinkets and holding shirts up to you. “should i get this?” “yes yn, it’s soooo cute!!!!” more laughter following soon after. you both buy the stuff you wanted, and you stand outside the store as the dim lighting of the neon sign reflects on both of your faces. “i had fun tonight. i’m really gonna miss you, ughhhhh.” she says, plastic bag hanging from her wrist as she rests her forehead on your shoulder. “me toooooo, we should really plan another visit—“ you get cut off by your phone buzzing, your cousin texting you that you were about to leave for the airport. pulling hyeju into a tight hug, like you weren’t about to see her ever again— oh wait. you weren’t. tears prick at the corner of your eyes as you hide in her shoulder, her hand stroking your hair. “i’ll miss you so much hyeju. you won’t believe it. i’ll text you, okay? i love you, even if we don’t meet again, forever and always.” you say, pulling away from the hug, pecking her lips as you walk back to the beach house your family was staying in.
the drive to the airport was the worst. texting hyeju helped a little, but you couldn’t help but have a bittersweet feeling as you looked at all of the silly photos you took together. “ynnnnn, you’re really gonna miss the girl you were friends with?” your cousin asks, eyes looking over at your phone. oh, if only she knew.. or if she saw those hickeys, i guess. “ummmm, kinda! we got really close over a small time. so a little!!” you say, forcing a laugh to seem cheery. this was anything but.
when you got through security, you walk to your gate, holding the food your cousin made you get before you see— hyeju??? that means she either has a layover here, or she lives somewhat close by to you. no way she didn’t do that one purpose—
“yn? nice to see you again, fix your shirt, i can still see the hick—“ she starts, “shhhh!!! what are you doing here???” you say, fixing your shirt, you really didn’t want your family seeing that.. “um… going home! did you forget it was also my last day here too?” she says chuckling a little, putting her arm around your waist. “let’s hang out a little more, i think we have some unfinished business to do~” she says, leaving you to shove the food into your cousins hands, yes! you definitely have some time to kill before the flight, and hyeju has the perfect thing planned.

Played the DATV demo today!
instagram
Spoilers under read more!
A more in depth, warning spoilers! #veilguardspoilers
- We didn't get to CC, that would take longer than 20 for sure haha.
- I got to see the startup screen as they had to change my language setting from French to English, and someone went 'woops spoilers' HAHA. It's much like the intro for ME legendary edition where the companions show one by one. Pretty.
- The demo allowed us to choose a class, without knowing which Rook we would get. We soon saw the faces we already got accustomed to. Our female elven warrior, human rogue and qunari mage making a reappearance.
-It started in the middle of a scene with Harding, where you're at a campfire and Rook has a conversation with her until they hear a screech. Assan spots them and 'attacks'. Davrin has his Disney prince entrance, (swoon) and continues to size up Rook. He mentions that something smells, and as purple Rook you can joke "It's not me, it's the tents" and the camera awkwardly glances to Harding in front of the tent, the tent having blight on it. Very "the office" camera humor.
- Davrin is ??? about Rook but decides to give them a chance and continues on with the mission.
- We got to use Assan to do some environmental changes, like letting things fall down as he flies up to them to cut a cord or drop something.
- I spent a good 5 minutes just looking around, the environment looked GORGEOUS? Like the lighting? insane????? Weisshaupt out of this world fr.
- Then you have the first battle, a whole bunch of darkspawn and they're fucking annoying. I fucked up with the controller and got into fly cam mode, WHICH. IS A THING. So my entire hud was gone hahaha. But yeah the enemies are relentless. Good luck nightmare mode people.
- No one really is a "tank" so they WILL target you effectively, which as a mage, on first try... oh boy.
- Someone (redacted) who Davrin knows. (I don't wanna spoil this but it's not a big deal lol, just in case people don't want to read it)
- You move onto the next part, another Assan environmental change, there's also loot you can get, things you can interact with. But all subtle so more immersive.
- Then a big boy happens. Darkspawn will be fucking annoying and that's great honestly. The combo features are amazing for dealing huge damage, and after a while you get an idea of when and who to combo with. It's a small learning curve.
- If you forget to heal in time Harding has a skill she uses so I ALMOST died but the dwarf wife saved me.
- Dodge will be one of the most used skills for sure. I almost got sliced in two multiple times.
- Blight is gooey and gross, reminded me of Mass Effect.
- I couldn't really listen to the music sadly as the sound on the headphones were quite low, but the voice acting was greaaat ofc.
- It sadly ended before another cutscene reveal at the end of the short mission, upon they told us "we can't show you the end of the mission now can we :) " WELL PLAYED.
Overall: I can't wait to start. Can't wait to make my Rook. And honestly, the more. I looked at my qunari Rook, the more I liked him. He had a beard and he was all sass. The skills/spells look so fucking cool when the slowmotion combos hit or when you drop from the sky into someone's face. Loved it!!!!!! If you haven't pre-ordered yet, please do.

Medusa Ex Makina
Chapter 1: Welcome to Mordhaus
Rated: M for Mature
Warnings: Peeping toms, a bit of canon typical misogyny, slapstick violence
Author’s note: Finally, new content for Makina! Are the boys a bit ooc, possibly? I’m really going for a mix of canon and my interpretations for the boys. Any feedback in the replies would be appreciated. -w-;;
The klokateers began unloading Makina’s belongings and escorting the young fletchling metal artist around the haus. Nathan and the band agreed to let Makina stay with them, but of course there was a bit of hesitancy from his bandmates. “I mean does she really have to stay in her own room, couldn’t she share one with you?” Murderface complained, crossing his arms and leaning against the entrance of the newly cleaned out room. “Fuck no! I don’t want her in my personal space.” The others mumbled in agreement. “I am just hopes she put in good furnintures. And its not too girlys and pinks.” Skwisgaar said as he fidgeted with his guitar. “I don’t think you’d need to worry, she’s kind of goth looking. I bet you she’s got a few band posters.” Pickles blurted out. “Excuse me sires, her furniture has arrived.” A klokateer stated, the band moved a bit out of the way to see what kind of objects would arrive. First came a black mahogany cabinet, then came a large black and red dresser that had intricate rose vines on the sides, a slick black computer desk with a black and red leather gaming chair, a red heart shaped vanity mirror, and a Victorian style bed frame with black sheer princess curtains fastened by small silver demon skulls. “Told ya so.” Pickles said in a smarmy manner. But that’s where the normal furniture ended and the weirder things came in. Next was a stone statue of cerberus, a marble black replica of Adonis with demon-like features, and a life sized coffin shelf with a lid. It wasn’t too bad, after all they have demonic statues all over Mordland. However, what really caught their eyes were a few picture frames with their posters inside. “Oh shit, we better not have another ‘Trindle’ situation on our hands.” Murderface cautioned. That name alone made Nathan’s toes curl, especially when their last encounter resulted in her exploded face landing on his lips. He silently prayed that Makina wasn’t going to be as obsessive. More Klokateers arrived and placed some unopened boxes in her room as Makina walked towards them with one klokateer presenting her with her new living quarters. “Any further questions, my liege?”
”Not really but, wow you guys got a lot of facilities!”
”Then I’ll leave you to unpack your things, if you need any assistance just call for us.” Makina was awkwardly silent, she looked directly at Nathan and shyly waved. He tilted his head in confusion and slightly waved back. She then went straight into her new room and closed the door behind her. “Maybes we shoulds gives her space?” Toki suggested, but the others ignored him and slowly peaked behind the doorway. Makina took out her phone, tapped a few buttons, and placed it on the dresser. It began playing ‘Kill You’ by Snakes and Barrels. “Whoa, deep cut!” Nathan whispered. Pickles was more baffled than anything, meanwhile Murderface was trying to push past Skwisgaar to see what was happening. Makina then pulled out a swiss army knife hidden from her boot and cut open one of the boxes. She began placing the items around the room. From very cool anime statues, to a plastic black skull with pink gems in its eyes, she had quite the eclectic collection. Another box opened and she began setting up a fancy looking desktop computer. She kept opening boxes and setting up her room till she was finally down to the posters. Makina took a good look at them and sighed. ‘It would be embarrassing as hell if I put these up. I live with them now, god they’d think I’m one of those fans. Hmm… I’ll put them in the closet.’ She opened her cabinet and placed it in the very back. The band still watching with judgemental eyes whispered a collective sigh of relief. Makina stretched and grabbed her phone off of the dresser, pausing the music, and took off her boots. She layed on her new bed, cuddling a little demonic kitten plush and began scrolling on her phone while the others kept watching on. Murderface couldn’t take it anymore and walked back a few steps before ramming his body straight into Skwisgaar. Like a domino, the tall swede hit his face on Makina’s door with a loud thump. It opened wide and Makina turned to face the men sheepishly staring at her, Skwisgaar was entirely face planted into the floor. Makina hid the kitty plush and sat up straight as if she was caught in some trouble. She looked down at Skwisgaar and hid her smile with her hand, not wanting to laugh at the egotistical guitarist. “Uh… Are you guys good there?” The band silently nodded, the air became unnecessarily tense. “Well, off to jack off. Nice room bud.” Murderface blurted out, walking away from the awkward situation he caused. “Yeah and I needs to find… somethings for my… watch? Oh looks I founds it Ok bye!” Toki swiftly escaped behind Murderface. Pickles and Nathan helped Skwisgaar get off the floor, “Um… snacks are in the kitchen if you want any.” Pickles added as he helped his band mates out of Makina’s room. Makina nods and watches the men fumble about as they exit into the hallway, closing her door. “Well thats ams embarassings. Way to go Murderface.” Skwisgaar yelled as Murderface rolled his eyes. “I thought for sure she would have taken her shirt off.”
”That was not why we were spying on her.” Nathan stated, “Right guys?” The room was dead silent with a pregnant pause, “Wow, you’re all so mature.” They all ended up waltzing into the living room and plopped down on the scattered couches. “Looks on the brights sides, she’s ams not crazys or too girlies! I thinks shes cools.”
”Yeah, but then again you never know Toki. We’ll just have to wait and see.” Pickles stated as he leaned back into the couch.
-XXX-
Makina’s mind began to circle, ‘Were they testing me to see how metal I am? Oh god did they see the posters?! Well at least they didn’t see these little guys.’ Makina sat up and hopped off the bed and tiptoed over to the other side of the room, she ripped up the tape from one little box she had yet to open. Inside were a whole slew of Dethklok memorabilia; CDs, photo cards, and magazines. But the largest items in the box were a set of 12 inch plushies of Dethklok; each one had little colorful printed dot eyes, yarn like hair and a soft plush fabric texture. Makina lovingly petted each doll on the head and lifted the Skwisgaar one. She cuddled the plush close to her face, rubbing it like a cat would. “They’ll never know about you babies.” Makina cooed as she carefully placed all 5 of the dolls in her wardrobe along with the rest of the merchandise, planting a little kiss on each plush’s forehead. She silently hoped that none of Dethklok, let alone her mentor, would ever find out about her fanaticism for them. Makina would rather be buried alive than for that to happen. Finally her room was complete. But now a new problem arose, what to do next. Pickles did say there was food in the kitchen, maybe a light snack would ease her mind. As she opened her door, Makina realized how large her newfound home was. Not like the small apartment she had been living in before. Even after the tour, she still felt as if she could get lost. The kitchen shouldn’t be too far from where she was, right? Just so she wouldn’t get more lost, Makina dug into her hoodie pockets and found an old receipt. Closing the door, she placed the receipt in between the door frame, making sure it stuck out like a tiny flag. ‘That ‘oughta do it.’ Makina thought to herself triumphantly. ‘Now to find the kitchen!’ With determination, Makina began wandering down the brick and mortar halls of the death metal castle.
One door led to a public bathroom with a large ornate fountain in the center and a slew of urinals that spanned every inch of the walls. Another door led to a small workout room that only ever seemed to be touched by klokateers. And another door led to one of the largest libraries Makina had ever seen, but every door she opened seemed to be the wrong one and at this rate she could be wandering the halls forever. Then she spotted a familiar sight, the receipt hanging from her door frame. ‘Shit, I went around in a complete circle! How did I do that?!’ Makina was easily ready to call it quits, there was no way she was ever going to find something as simple as the kitchen at this rate. When in a flash, she remembered something. Opening up the door to her room, placing the receipt back in her pocket, she swung open her wardrobe, and dug through her Dethklok memorabilia. “Hell yeah, it’s still intact!” Makina exclaimed, lifting an old brochure in the air as if it was a hidden treasure in a video game. Opening up the brochure it read;
“Fan Day: 2006. Welcome to Mordland. Home of world famous death metal band, Dethklok. This map will help you navigate the areas of Mordhaus we will allow you to see.”
Makina quickly took a picture of the map on her phone and gingerly put it back amongst her other memorabilia. “Hopefully this map will be accurate enough.” she quietly hoped. Replacing the receipt in the door frame, she opened her phone’s gallery to the map as she began to follow it. Left, right, left again, straight, turn left again. She looked up from her phone and finally made it to an unfamiliar door. It was much larger than the other doors she had seen so far, like the entrance of a throne room. Excitingly she opened it, only to be met with slight disappointment. Inside was a room full of marine life, and to the side was a humongous black and red bed with large razor blades in the back. There were gentle hues of blue and green lights mixed with the golden glows of the octopus fixtures above each window, and a few fish swam in circles amongst the massive tanks. But the most beautiful thing Makina saw was the peach glow of the sunset that shimmered through a red stained glass window, twinkling like a thousand fairy lights. As fantastical as the room was, it still wasn’t the kitchen. Makina closed the door to the room and tried following the directions again. Left, right, left again, straight, this time going right instead of left. Another door, ‘Please let this not be a bedroom.’ As if fate itself had jinxed her, poor Makina was once again fooled. This was instead a stereotypical office, styled as if it was from 1983. The time capsule of an office had a large desk with a window looking out towards the golf course field down below. There were frumpy orange leather couches that look like they haven’t been sat in for ages, a few miscellaneous wooden award plaques, and a large steel shelf with an assortment of ikea lamps. ‘Definitely, not the kitchen. This must have been where that famous manager of theirs used to work. I wonder where he is now?’ Makina took one more look around, examining one of the plaques that read, “1st place, Charles Foster Offdensen, 1985 National fencing tournament”. Makina exited the room disappointed. ‘If this keeps up I’m going to lose my head. Let’s try one more time.’ Right, left, right again, straight, then turn right. The sounds of a eurobeat song can faintly be heard, following the melody of a remixed Fur Elise, Makina sighed in relief to find her way to the recreational living room.
The music came from Toki playing a DanceDance Revolution arcade machine, she was stunned to see him practically break dancing on the console. “Oh hey, glad to see you came out of your room.” Makina turned around to face Pickles, relaxed on the couch with his arms spread open, leaning into the vampiric sofa with a bottle of beer in his right hand. Pickles beckoned Makina to come and sit next to him. “Yeah, I just got… really super lost. This place is like a palace maze and I still couldn’t find the kitchen.”
“Really now, it’s not that hard!”
“That’s ‘cause you lived here longer than me, I just got here.” Makina pouted, Pickles tried to hold in his laughter. “Geez kiddo, do we have to give you a GPS or something?” Makina whipped out her phone with the picture of the map she was using, Pickles bursted out with a guffaw and a small set of tears began to form from his eyes. “Oh god, you’re killing me! You- HAHAHAHAHAHA!” Makina’s face turned bright red, “I’m sorry, this was the only thing I had to go off of!”
“No no, it’s- cough, holy shit. That thing was from over a decade ago. We’ve done a few renovations since then.”
“How was I supposed to know that!?” Makina yelled with frustration and embarrassment. Pickles patted her on the back, “Relax Makina, we should have been more upfront is all.” The music from Toki’s game had died down as the brunette wiped his brow. He walked toward the pair and sat next to Makina gleefully. “Hi Makis!” Toki beamed as the conversation shifted towards him. Makina’s eyes widened, “Oh hi Toki, I didn’t think you would be so casual.”
“Casuals, I thoughts we coulds bes more friendlies withs each others since you ams new in da house. We ams roomies nows!” Makina placed a hand over her mouth, her face flushed again, ‘Oh god, the fanbooks were true. Toki can be a real sweetheart!’ she thought to herself. “That’s really kind of you, it was just unexpected is all. No one has called me Maki before.” Pickles took a swig from his beer, “I thought for sure that your friends would’ve done that.” Makina looked away from the two musicians and down at her own hands. “Not really. I mean, the nickname they gave me eventually became my stage name, Medusa. But I don’t mind being called Maki, I actually find it refreshing.” Pickles couldn’t comprehend the tinge of sadness in her voice, but he knew they must have hit a nerve of some kind. “Anyway, uh… where did everyone else go?” Makina said inquisitively as she attempted to change the subject. “Skwisgaar wents to his rooms, Moidaface and Nathans are in da kitchens.” Makina’s ears perked up, her eyes twitched a little bit, “Toki, could you do me a favor and lead me to the kitchen. I’ve been trying to find it all day.” Pickles gave a small hand gesture to Toki behind Makina’s back and he nodded, “Sure Makis, it ams easys to finds!” the Norseman said with glee. He grabbed Makina’s hand and began leading her towards the kitchen.
“Sees it ams just over heres!” Toki exclaimed, he pointed towards a large double door, much like the ones Makina had seen before. They opened to find a silvery chrome tiled floor, a big saw blade table and chair set, and to either side of the walls were large cupboards and kitchen appliances. To Makina’s right, there was another beautiful red stained glass window shining down. It seemed that the twilight was slowly seeping in as its shine was much duller than earlier that day. Makina turned around to see how far away she was from the living room, to her left she could see her room door just in the distance with the small receipt flag still sticking out of her door frame. Instinctively Makina bapped her head with a small smack. “It was only a few doors down?!” Makina gritted her teeth, holding back her anger. “Yeps, tolds ya it was easys.” Toki said with a chipper tone. Nathan and Murderface turned to see Makina and Toki looming around the doorway. “Hey, good of you to finally come out of your room Makina.” Murderface called out. Makina sighed and waved back, “We’ve been trying to get this open and it’s really fucking stuck.” Murderface pointed at the brown jug on the table, it was a fancy growler of craft beer with a Brazilian label. “Yeah, shit’s really stuck.” Nathan chimed in, “Oh, that’s whys yous guys been takings so longs.” Makina examined the jug more carefully and saw that there was a silver ring connected by 2 small metal hinges on either side, the cork had a red ring around the bottom near the mouth of the jug as it connected to the metal bits. “I wanted to use my knife to smash it open, but somebody didn’t want me to.” Murderface sneered at Nathan, “It’s the only fucking one of it’s kind, they don’t make this type anymore!” Suddenly, POP! The men turned to see Makina and the growler wide opened, it’s fizzy contents were sprayed all over her fingers. She wiped her soppy beer hands on her jacket. “How’d you do that?” Nathan questioned in surprise. “It’s a swing handle, you squeeze it really hard and it pops like champagne.”
“Holy shit, how’d you figure that out so fast?!” Murderface interjected, “My dad and I lived above a rock and roll bar, it was owned by his friend and he taught me beer stuff.”
“Wowee, was theres evers anys live shows at thems bars?” Makina nodded, “That’s how I got into metal.” She turned back to the jug, and gestured to Murderface and Nathan. “You might wanna wipe that down, the neck is a bit sticky.” She stepped aside so that the two men could pour a few glasses of beer. “Uh… you want any?” Murderface offered Makina a glass, “Murderface, no! She’s just a kid!”
“Am not, I’m an adult thank you very much! And yes, I’ll take one!” Nathan’s eyes widened, “Hang on, no fucking way. When were you born?” Murderface handed Makina a glass of beer and she chugged half it down. “October 31st, 1985, during the witching hour!”
“Ooh, watch out. We got a spooky bitch in Mordhaus.” Murderface teased playfully as he wiped the beer from his mustache. Makina rolled her eyes, “Like I haven’t heard that one before.”
“Hangs on a minutes, you ams a year older than Tokis? That’s imposkables!” Makina turned back to Toki with a look of shock in her eyes. Before she could retort, a klokateer walked in, “Sires, dinner is ready in the main hall.”
“Fuck yeah finally!” Murderface cheered as Toki followed suit. Makina watched on wistfully, thinking to herself that she’d probably get a separate dinner time from the band. Nathan patted her on the shoulder, “You too kid.” Makina shyly nodded and walked behind Nathan as they made their way to the dining room.
The amps and guitars that surrounded the walls were a major juxtaposition to the more medieval decor around the room. There was a long steel dining room table with red and black accents and 5 embellished blade chairs surrounding it. Skwisgaar was fiddling away at his guitar and across from him Pickles greeted the 4 of them. Toki excitedly sat next to the blonde, much to his chagrin. Murderface ran as fast as he could to sit next to Pickles and Nathan sat at the head of the table. Makina began to back away slowly, she didn’t want to cause the band any more trouble in accommodating her. One more step back and she bumped into the chest of a very tall, intimidating klokateer. Their meer stature sent shivers up her spine, as well as the large burn scar on his left forearm. “Sires, where do you want the girl placed?” The klokateer asked, “Oh right, umm… put a chair at the end of the table.” Nathan suggested as he pointed to the other head of the table. The klokateer bowed their head and left to find another chair. Makina moved to the side of the door as more klokateers came with cloches of food on little bellhop carts. Behind them was a man that shook Makina to her core, a zombie looking figure wearing a gray head chef’s uniform. Makina was used to seeing the undead in movies and haunted houses, she knew those actors used makeup and practical special effects, not this guy. His horrifying visage and slow movements almost made her want to scream in fear, but she pursed her lips so as to not cause a scene. The walking corpse’s head snapped looking directly at Makina and started to walk closer, he smelled of smoke and fire as if he was grilled alive. Makina walked back further into the corner of the dining hall until she was completely trapped by the ghoulish man closing in on her. She tried to put on a brave face so that Dethklok wouldn’t call her a coward, and out of pure instinctive adrenaline… BAM! Makina had uppercutted the cadaver in the face, sending him flying 2 feet away from her. All eyes were on Makina as the chef fell to the floor. “Medusa, what was that for?!” Murderface shouted angrily, “That guy is our personal chef, Jean-Pierre!”
“Yeah, that’s our chef!” Pickles added. “I-I’m so sorry! I thought he was going to bite me!”
“I would never do such a barbaric thing mademoiselle, I simply wanted to properly introduce myself to you.” Jean-Pierre said while dribbling saliva from his lower jaw. “My deepest apologies chef, I didn’t expect you to um… well…”
“Look the way I do? Compréhensible, I was never the same after the dethcopter accident. But I am very thankful to be alive, even though I was shoddily sewn back together.” Makina knelt down to help Jean-Pierre from the ground and properly shook his hand. The Frenchman lifted her hand to his lips and kissed it politely. The klokateer from earlier came back with another chair and had set it down. Makina followed Jean-Pierre as he pulled out her chair for her, she sat down and a servant poured a glass of red wine in a shiny silver goblet. The cloches opened and revealed a gourmet 5 star meal of; 2 lamb chops with a juniper berry garlic sauce, sliced and roasted yukon potatoes in duck fat, caprese salad with the freshest mozzarella cheese drizzled with a homeblend vinaigrette, and a cup of cheesy penny bun mushroom risotto. Nathan lifted his glass, “I don’t usually do shit like this, so uh… To Makina. Welcome to Mordhaus.” Makina lifted her glass to air the toast going around. She then looked directly at Skwisgaar, eyeing how silent he was throughout the whole time she had been near him. Even at Doom-opolis, he had been utterly silent. But why? The lingering thought was pressed into the back of her mind as she began to feast along with the band, that was a worry for a different day. For now, Makina’s only worry was to enjoy the newfound company of Dethklok.

Kazutora Hanemiya x OC
Tw: None, just fluff
A/n: This is made by me for me,to keep my sanity on check. Featuring selfship,if you do not like such content,please keep scrolling. Also, first time publishing any work of mine, so constructive criticism would be appreciated ^^
The road was quiet, with only some leaves dancing in the breeze. The sound of silence was interrupted briefly by the engine of a bloody red motorcycle which quickly passed and left.
The motorcycle stopped infront of a building. It parked and the person riding it stepped out of it, taking her black helmet off and placing it in the motorcycle's seat.
Her hair, almost shoulder-length, brown fanting to orange almost immediately got scooped up by the wind in her face.
"For fucks- Geez thanks" she said, to no one in particular.
After getting her hair out of the way,her hands instinctively searched for something, until she grabbed a little box from her pocket
She looked up
"Juviline Detention Centre"
She stuffed her hands in her pockets and entered the building.
As soon as she got in, she saw an officer standing near to a table, managing some papers out.
"Uhm, hi, I am here to see someone"
"Oh, sure, name?"
"Kazutora Hanemiya"
He shuffled a bit through some papers and then announced
"Please, this way. Also, I will need to check for any sort of object you may carry"
She pulled out of her pockets her motorcycle's keys, her phone and that little box from earlier.
"I am aware that I cannot give anything straight ahead to the inmates, so, you would mine if you could later give that to him?"
She said as she holded the box infort of him. He took it and examined it
"I will see about that. Now, this way please".
______________________________
The room felt kinda miserable when she walked in. She sat in a white chair infront of the glass which separated the inmates from the guests.
A guard came out of nowhere and stood by the door from where Kazutora,after a few seconds, also made his appearance.
Her face lighted when she saw him. Everything was okay right now, no worries.
He sat in the other side of the glass wall.
"Hello!"
"Hi.."
He felt kinda confused. Why? Why did she had come to see him willingly? Didn't she hated him? He hated himself, how-
"Oi, quit daydreaming! I came to see how are you!"
She stopped awkwardly
"I mean like, considering, you know, everything that happened"
"Not much..What's going on with the others?"
"Per usual. Mikey's sleeping most of the time, Takemitchy is up to something, I have no idea what, anddd..well..Chifuyu hasn't left Baji's grave"
She felt an uneasiness and rubbed her nape.
"BUT ANYWAY-"
Her hazel eyes lighted after the brief awkwardness.
"Erenna, why do you still come?"
The subben-more-depressing-than-expected tone made her shot him a glare.
"Because I love you, idiot"
Okay, she probably didn't meant that as it came out, but he blushed a bit at the confession
"You're important to me and I don't leave my loved ones hanging or dealing something in their own"
Erenna's wasn't usually like this. Mostly a resting bitch face, occasionally angy. Sarcastic, teasing and kinda blunt.
To the people she cared deeply about though, she was the kindest soul. And Kazutora felt lucky being one of these people.
Time went flying by, the two eventually catching up and enjoying time with one another.

The guard who had annouced it nodded to Erenna to usher her out of the room.
She bid goodbye Kazutora, promising that she would come again and left to get her things and go to her motorcycle.
As soon as she reached the parking her phone rang
"Draken?"
"Yeah, hi,are you in the juvie center?"
"No, I am actually in Antarctica, learning to fish with a couple of penguins"
"Ha ha, very funny. Anyway, Mikey told me to tell you to buy him taiyaki since you are already outside"

ㅡ ACTING MISSION / human theater
Hyunsoo himself knew that comedy was certainly not his strong suit. He preferred dry humor, limited to his own quips or passing glances that could very well be construed as 'sassy'. However, his quick-witted nature ( and the assistance of classes ) allowed enough wiggle room for improvisation. He would never label himself as a master. In fact, he often strayed away from the idea of ever starring in a sitcom or featuring on a variety show ㅡ content to assert that it was simply 'not his thing'.
He watched plenty of Idol Human Theater for his favorite groups ( namely if Twice or Seventeen were featured ). Many idols were also gifted with a talent for entertaining off stage as well as on it — something many actors were not particularly notorious for nor did he happen to be close enough to the others for the natural chemistry to carry him through. Beyond awkwardly endearing, what else could he manage to be? Perhaps that aspect of him could carry him through, playing into the popularity of dry, sarcastic humor in shows like The Office that he felt he excelled at. Better to simply be myself without trying, he thought, and play the role they give me well.
Bad liar happened to be his designated role. He would collect ( or fabricate ) little secrets from the other actors while also in character and accidentally allow the same secrets to slip. After shooting some extra footage following them around in the cafeteria and doing other mundane tasks related to their schedule, it was time for them each to sit in a chair and give makeshift interviews to the camera while the others sat in a row in the background.
You have a stain on your shirt, the staff point out from behind the camera.
"Oh, this?" He plucks at his shirt, a large stream of amber liquid streaked across the white fabric. "Leo ran into me this morning and spilled his coffee on me while he was running after Jinhyuk because he had toilet paper on his shoe. He said not to—" a bad liar would over explain. "Oh, I mean! I spilled some coffee when I tried to take a drink. Clumsy me."
Seona's bracelet went missing but you didn't help look for it. You just kept eating snacks at the cafeteria. One of the staff reads out.
His eyes glance back to think of another lie that could elicit at least one chuckle. "That's right. I was... thinking about it a bit more. Then I realized it didn't really matter too much that she lost it, right? Seona told me that it's not name brand Cartier but just a knock off cubic zirconium. I assumed she could just buy a new one."

Redamancy II — Poly!Marauders x Fem!Reader
When you think no one will love you anymore because of your current condition, you are faced with a reality that is completely opposite to what you think.
Warnings — AU where voldy no nose doesn't exist, fem!muggle!reader, blind!reader, poly!marauders, Euphemia and readers bonding, etc.
1,4k words.
Main Masterlist Series Masterlist
You close your eyes for a moment and breathe in slowly. You feel the canvas in front of you, each side of the canvas and also the height and width of the canvas you are using. After feeling familiar, you move on to the brushes on your right. Feeling one brush after another to recognize them. Then you move on to the paint bottle that your brother has prepared so well. He gives you embossed writings that allow you to recognize colors without seeing or reading them.
You know that if anyone saw you, a blind person trying to paint, they would laugh mockingly at you. But you know your own abilities, they don't know that. There are even some famous blind painters of their time and their works are still beautiful with their own unique characteristics.
You are very grateful to your brother for setting up painting tools in his backyard. It's rare for anyone to pass by. He even bought you a tent that keeps you out of the sun. You picked up a pencil and started sketching the Lupine flower. You don't know why you want to paint it, all you know is that Lupine flowers symbolize imagination, admiration and overall happiness.
Once you're done with your sketch, you touch your canvas and feel every line there. You intentionally press your pencil a little hard so that you can feel each line. Before you can choose a color a voice startles you.
"Oh! I'm sorry, dear, I didn't mean to startle you."
You heard her apologize. You focus your hearing, you can tell that the one who just spoke is a woman who is no longer young. Her voice was very soft and caring. You can only smile at the direction her voice is coming from. And you hope you're not mistaken.
"It's fine, just a little surprised," you reply with a slight chuckle.
"I'm seeing you here for the first time, are you Elijah's girlfriend? I've never seen him bring a woman home."
"Oh no! I'm his sister," you reply as you try to pick up your stick and stand up.
You're so grateful that the woman helped you find your walking stick. This is the first time you've interacted with anyone other than your brother and the doctor since the incident. And you're really getting nervous now.
"Oh my, where's my manners. My name is Euphemia Potter, you can call me Mia. I live in the house right next door to your brother," she said excitedly.
You introduced yourself to her with a happy smile. Euphemia seems like a lovely and friendly person, you hope you can make good friends with her during your stay with your brother. You try to get one of the lounge chairs for Euphemia but are interrupted by her because she wants to get it herself. Euphemia placed the chair right next to you and sat there.
"I can't help but be curious to see a pretty girl like you here, so I came here and saw you painting. Can I see you painting here? My husband is away at work and my two sons ah I don't know where they went," Euphemia said in a thoughtless tone.
"Of course! But I don't know if it will be a good painting or not. You can see for yourself," you say awkwardly while pointing at your eyes.
"That makes no sense. You must be talented if you dare to try at a situation like this," Euphemia replies encouraging you.
You smile happily at her words. You thought she would mock you, but you were wrong. You continue your painting with Euphemia's help. Euphemia suggests good colors and gives them to you. She lets you continue on your own, she knows you can do it so she will only help in giving you the paint colors you need.
Euphemia watches with admiration as you skillfully apply the colors to the canvas. It may not be neat, but it is a unique feature of your painting. It makes the painting have its own aesthetic impression.
"I have two sons. Do you want to marry one of them? Or both?"
Your hand stops when you hear Euphemia's question. You turned to her with wide eyes. Your face is flushed with embarrassment. What did she say? Marry her son? Both her children? There's no way she could easily offer her son to someone she barely knows.
"You can't just say something like that, Mia. What if I'm an evil witch who likes to sacrifice people?" you ask in a joking tone as you continue your activities.
"Are you?"
"What?"
"A witch?"
"Of course not! There are no witches in this world, Mia. If you had told me that when I was a child, I would have believed you," you reply with a quiet laugh.
Unbeknownst to you, Euphemia grimaces softly at your answer. If you had known, would you have run away and never wanted to be friends with her again? Would you not like her children? Euphemia doesn't want to think about that.
You put down the paints you had finished using and turned to Euphemia.
"How was it? Did it turn out quite well? Please give me an honest response," you ask with a smile.
Euphemia looks at your painting with admiration, she pulls your hand and grips it tightly. This is the first time she has seen someone with a disability create a beautiful painting.
"Very beautiful, dear. You really are a talented girl!" she said excitedly.
You can only smile embarrassedly at her praise. You never thought you could finish your painting and you are very grateful for Euphemia's help.
"You helped me a lot, Mia. You can take the painting if you want," you offer.
"Really? I can take this?"
You nodded and were slightly surprised when Euphemia hugged you suddenly. Euphemia thanked you many times and said that she would display your painting in her living room so that her family members could see how great you were. Her words make you feel even more shy. It's rare for someone to praise you like this.
After the painting you and Euphemia spent some time chatting in your brother's backyard. She even took some drinks and the cake she had just baked this morning for your snack. You complimented her on how good the cake was, somehow it tasted like nothing you've ever tasted before, so new to you.
Soon you hear Euphemia say that her husband will be home soon and that's when you realize you've been sitting there for a long time. And surely your brother will be home soon too. Once again Euphemia helps you carry your painting tools inside and then says goodbye to go home.
You slowly walk towards your room which you have memorized the direction. You take off your dirty clothes and put them in the basket and enter the bathroom. Today was a long but pleasant day for you.
Meanwhile, Euphemia entered her house with the painting in hand, the dirty plates and glasses she had brought home first using her wand. Her face lit up which made her husband who had just come out of the fireplace look at her confused.
"Look! I got a new painting!" She said excitedly.
"It's very beautiful, where did you buy it?" Fleamont asked his wife.
"I didn't buy it, Elijah's sister gave it to me," replied Euphemia as she enchanted the painting with her wand to be placed on the wall and cast a protection spell on it.
Soon she heard a noise coming from the fireplace and soon the sound of someone falling there. Euphemia turned around and ran over her two children, James and Sirius who were falling on each other in the fireplace. Euphemia just rolled her eyes lazily at the behavior of her two children. After the two children came out of the fireplace not long after, Remus appeared who looked neat unlike James and Sirius who were messy.
"Remus, it's been a long time," said Euphemia while hugging the boy.
"You saw him this morning," said Sirius to which Euphemia replied with a scowl.
Fleamont just laughed at his wife's behavior. He walked to his room to change after kissing Euphemia on the forehead.
"Is that a new painting?" asked James.
"Yes! Look, it's beautiful, isn't it? The next door neighbor gave it to me, she's so beautiful!"
The three nodded, James and Sirius seemed to stare at the painting with serious looks before turning to Remus who was also looking at the painting in silence.
"Believe me there's nothing like the beauty of the girl we saw at the restaurant a few days ago," Sirius whispered to James to which he nodded.
Even Remus who was listening agreed silently.

LITTLE LADY ANNETTE.
There was quite a lot she could have said about exactly why the concept of being fond of cats made her sceptical, much of which related to Aunt Sarah’s two prized specimens; but her new companion clearly had more to say, so Annette let the conversation drift on.
The mention of Archons and worshipping went a little over her head. The blue-collared puppy liked to think of herself as a smart girl - and not without reason, when that was the role she held amongst her siblings - but such matters were a little beyond the realm of canines such as her. Annette would far rather deal with matters that were practical and down-to-earth, instead… though she wouldn’t be so rude as to outright say so.
Not that he’d understa–
Oh. Wait–
OH.
He had understood her?
Jaw sliding slightly ajar, Annette could only stare stupidly for a moment. While she, like the rest of her siblings, had from a young age been taught by her mother to understand human language - if not all of their subtleties - she had always been certain enough that that was a one-way street. Humans might hear yips or barks, might understand a tiny bit of canine body language, but would never truly understand anything they said.
So this… this was…
New.
She collected herself hurriedly, drawing her posture up straighter and grasping for perhaps excessive formality.
“I’m… sorry, that was rude of me. I’ve just never heard of a human being able to understand us before.”
She felt a bit foolish for her reaction, silent though it had been; and the blue-wearing girl shifted her shoulders awkwardly. The fact that he seemed to be magical (whatever that meant in this context), perhaps, had something to do with it, so maybe she shouldn’t feel so abashed… but for a girl who prized her dignity so highly, it was still a distinct embarrassment.
“I’m happy to hear whatever you want to play. One of my sisters is bigger on romance than I am, but it sounds like it must be a very pretty song nonetheless.” Unlike she imagined Collette would, Annette didn’t think she’d take anything personal from such a song; but she would still appreciate it for its own merits, she was sure.
It sounded like his friend’s story may have ended tragically, if he had never finished the song, and if he had had a ring for his partner but never married her. In that case, Annette wasn’t sure quite what she should say to that - smartest though she was, both of her sisters were better at being empathetic than her - but she could appreciate the desire to preserve his legacy.
As far as Venti was concerned, all the babble that was leaving his mouth was just small talk. Nonsense that he was talking about to hear his own voice or so that silence wouldn’t claim the empty space. ( Quite genuinely, he could appreciate silence and stillness and calm, but … sometimes … well. Having quite a bit to say didn’t necessarily mean that much of it had any real meaning. )
Of course, once the little pup gave her reaction, he couldn’t help but laugh at the shock on her features. It was pretty clear that she hadn’t expected him to be able to understand her as easily as he could understand human speech. How endearing ! Something about the way she scrambled to straighten back up, like she was suddenly hyper-aware of how effortlessly he was perceiving her, was adorable to him.
His hand moving up to give her head a gentle stroke was punctuated by a soft click of his tongue. Not chiding, not disappointed nor irritated, simply … AMUSED. It was the kind of sound reserved for adults watching a child who was still learning about the world do something obliviously cute. “ Don’t apologize, sweet thing ! ” he chuckled, scratching lightly behind her ear. “ You weren’t being rude at all. You’re charming. I’ve met people who weren’t as well-behaved as you. ”
He let a brief pause hang between them before speaking again; in a hushed tone so that no one else would overhear. “ You’re correct that humans don’t understand. But me ? I’m not human. Ehe … I may look like one, but … this form of mine … it was actually based on my friend’s appearance. Without it, I doubt you would be able to distinguish me from a wisp of wind or a building storm. ” As if to prove the point, he lifted his hand, and a stiff breeze passed by the both of them.
“ … Well. You’d be one of the few who heard it while also knowing his story. Most people assume it’s my own composition, and … I don’t correct them. Talking about my friend … ah, it brings up far too many questions most of the time. And when I answer those questions, when people find out the truth about me … they treat me differently. ” He gave Annette a wink and a smile, before shifting his fingers down to the strings of his lyre. “ I prefer most people think of me as a humble bard. But … it’s nice to be able to talk to you about him. You have no knowledge of my land, and you can’t truly repeat any of this … it feels freeing to be able to share it with someone. So … thank you for listening. ”
Certainly, it would also mean a lot to Himmel’s spirit, wherever he was, should he be listening. With nothing else to say at least for the moment, Venti’s fingers began to dance across the strings of his lyre. The tune was tender and calming, with a clear passion that resonated in its notes. Despite its composer being long dead, the deep affection for his partner could be felt in the melody.
THE LOVER’S HYMN.
